Circuit Players to Watch | Session 9: Hamilton, Ohio

Session 9 brings another loaded stop to Hamilton, Ohio with programs looking to make a statement as the summer circuit pushes forward. Expect high-level guard play, athletic wings, and prospects ready to elevate their stock in meaningful matchups. Here are my players to watch this weekend for Session 9:      Physical Combo Guard that has as much potential as a scorer in the Evansville area. Harrell has shown the ability to take over games with his all around offensive game. He's tenacious getting to the rim. He plays on balance well and plays through any contact. Continues to improve as a perimeter shooter with his ability to get hot in a hurry. He's a versatile defender with his length and athleticism showing he can guard multiple spots on the floor.     A player that is on the verge of bursting onto the national scene, [player_tooltip player_id='2326410' first='Armani' last='Byrd'] is a freak athlete that impacts the game all over the floor with his size, length, and skill. As versatile of a player in the state of Kentucky, Byrd has shown time and again his ability to guard multiple positions at a high level. Offensively, he's excellent cutting off the ball and is the ultimate play finisher around the rim with his athleticism. His on ball skills continue to get honed in as well as his perimeter jump shot, but has shown that he's capable of rattling off a few in a row to take over a game.     The long and athletic Forward out of Silver Creek has continued to see his stock rise throughout the spring AAU season for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 17u Pro16. High motor forward that impacts the game around the rim on both ends. Pick and roll and lob threat on the offensive end, while also showing flashes of a perimeter jumper. Defensively, he's the anchor in the paint that is able to block or alter any shot near the rim. Really exciting prospect that continues to get better and better every time I see him.     An absolute stud with the ball in his hands, [player_tooltip player_id='1745587' first='Elijah' last='Neel'] just knows how to make plays. He's a physical 6'3” guard with a quick first step. He welcomes contact when getting in the lane and has shown he can finish around the basket in a variety of different ways with either hand. Really good playmaker that is a double-double threat every time he steps on the floor with his court vision and scoring ability.     The 6'1” 2028 Guard out of University High School is having a breakout start to the spring AAU season for [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] 16u. He's a crafty scorer that has shown his versatility with the ability to play on or off the ball. Competitive player on both ends that plays hard. Has the offensive skill to take over games in a multitude of ways.     One of the more intriguing prospects in the Indiana in-state class of 2028, [player_tooltip player_id='2538842' first='Gavin' last='Scheich'] is a big time athlete at 6'9” with length that goes for days. He's a mobile big that is a fluid athlete that is a solid rim protector on the defensive end. Does a really good job playing vertical and not picking up cheap fouls. Offensively he has shown the ability to play all over the floor. Solid perimeter shooter off the catch. Has shown he can play out of the mid post and make a move off the dribble. Really good finisher as a roll man that is looking to finish above the rim any chance he gets.     The top prospect in Southwest Indiana for the Class of 2027 is 6'9” Forward [player_tooltip player_id='2140403' first='Kamdon' last='Partenheimer'] of Forest Park playing his 17u season with [program_tooltip program_id='2335148' first='Kentuckiana' last='Hoops']. The versatile inside-out forward has made a big impression throughout the spring with his size and skill. His ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter at 6'9” as well as score efficiently around the basket makes him a matchup nightmare for opponents. As impressive as he has been on the offensive end, he's been a terror around the rim defensively with his shot blocking and rebounding ability. Has new Division I interest lately and have a feeling it's about to pick up even more for the talented forward.
