Prep Hoops Indiana made the trip out to Kansas City for Nike EYBL Session III. With it not being a live period it made for a much quieter, easier to navigate gymnasium which is a perfect setting for getting evaluations done. Obviously, we have seen all of these players in the past as well, but it was good to get to see them play at such a high level. Let's empty out the notebook and share some thoughts on some of the top prospects that we got the chance to watch at Nike EYBL Session III in Kansas City.

One of the best pure scorers that you'll find in the Midwest, Cleveland finished off his weekend in Kansas City with a 24-point performance for Brad Beal Elite 17u. He averaged 14.0 points per game on the weekend and is their leading scorer through all three sessions so far at 15.9 points per game. Cleveland handles the ball very well and is excellent at creating separation off of the bounce in tight windows. That shot-creation ability is a big part of what makes him so good as a scorer. The La Lumiere product is considered a Top 50 prospect nationally in the Class of 2027.

We've been big fans of [player_tooltip player_id='2560351' first='Chandon' last='Gilbert'] for a while here at Prep Hoops Indiana and that is why he is ranked as a Top 10 prospect in the Class of 2028. His long, athletic, 6'5" frame is so projectable on the perimeter and then you add his shooting ability both from beyond the arc and in the mid-range. There is a lot of upside to consider when watching the Lawrence North sophomore play. Gilbert had some strong performances for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u in Kansas City including scoring 15 points on 3-4 shooting from deep in a win over JL3 on Saturday.

This talented young big man suited up with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u on the EYBL Circuit for the weekend in Kansas City. Kiteka, who normally plays on the UA Rise Circuit with the Indiana Jammers showed himself capable of holding his own at the highest level. The 6'9" center immediately showcased his shot blocking ability swatting away five shots in two games while also finishing with 10 points and 3 rebounds in a win on Saturday. It was good getting to see him play against some of the top competition in his class nationwide.

Anybody who follows high school basketball in the Kentucky/Indiana/Ohio tri-state area has seen some of Lindsay's viral dunks. However, getting the chance to see him in person at Nike EYBL Session III, it was his physical strength that really popped. He still obviously has that explosive athleticism, but he is also built like a running back. Lindsay had a ton of success driving it and playing through contact. The St. Xavier sophomore guard had an excellent weekend averaging 14.5 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for MOKAN Elite 16u.

Stuart really stood out to us while watching [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u at Nike EYBL Session III in Kansas City. There is so much to like about his fluid athleticism and two-way versatility. The forward rebounded the ball especially well when we were in attendance finishing with 9 points and 12 rebounds along with blocking 3 shots. He is a good finisher in the post, has the ability to drive it from the perimeter, and is very talented as a face-up scorer in the mid-post. The Lexington Catholic sophomore is ranked as a Top 10 prospect in the Prep Hoops Kentucky Class of 2028 prospect rankings.

An early commit to the University of Louisville, Wright just announced his intention to play with Fairdale High School this summer after spending his junior season at La Lumiere. The athletic, physical, 6'8" forward is a beast around the basket. Wright averaged 8.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u at Nike EYBL Session III in Kansas City. His ability to go get rebounds out of his area is one of his best attributes. He was excellent during the live period down in Memphis putting up 14.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.
