Standing at 6'4 he's a long and agile wing-guard with endless confidence on the ball. He was hitting tough pull-up jumpers, battling for offensive rebounds leading to putback buckets, and had a four point play with under a minute to play in the first half that had his team fired up. Creates a bunch of space with a quick right to left crossover to get into his jumper. He's dangerous coming off screens as he can quickly get downhill and beat helpside defenders to the rim to finish, but also has the vision to thread the needle to his big rolling to the rim. The sophomore out of Madison is so good at changing his speed on the ball, and navigates screens like a seasoned vet to get downhill. He's at his best getting to the rim where he's a crafty finisher with his left hand, able to convert off the glass from a number of angles. Despite often being the smallest player on the floor, Blake makes a big impact by constantly moving without the ball, and torching you from three when you lose track of him. Playing alongside a talented playmaker in Khaliq Austin, Blake does a nice job of providing angles for kickout passes when he's drawing in extra defenders, making him an easy target. When he looks to attack the basket, he's like a wrecking ball just bouncing defenders off of him as he gets all the way to the rim. Anywhere near the basket, he's almost guaranteed to put points on the board as he's just that strong playing through contact. Playing alongside one of the best frontcourt duos in the state, Ward does a great job of getting his bigs the ball. Whether he's entering the ball to them from the perimeter, or driving and dumping it off as their defender slides over to stop him, Geno puts his teammates in positions to score. He's not just a facilitator either, as he's fearless attacking the basket at 5'10. Geno is often quick enough to get to the basket for a quick scoop finish before defenders have a chance to react.
