After a cold start shooting when I watched him on Saturday, Khaliq would rebound with arguably the best individual performance I've seen all spring on Sunday. The 6'4 guard finished with 37 points and a handful of assists in a win over a talented Wisconsin Academy team, and was putting up points in a number of ways. Khaliq drained a handful of pull-up jumpers from well beyond the arc, showing he can create separation with ease off limited dribbles. In transition he was just about unstoppable getting to the rim for dunks, but if defenders stepped in on him late, Khaliq had the quick reactions to dump it off to a teammate for an open lay-up. It was a high level performance from a high level prospect.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] was sticking in the game against 7070 Athletics, but was waiting for someone to step up to push them ahead late. That ended up being [player_tooltip player_id='2140691' first='Santiago' last='Connell'] who would connect on three jumpers while dishing out an assist in about a 2-3 minute span that would help put his team up by 10 late in the game. That run also included Connell diving on the floor to poke the ball free for his teammate to gain possession. He's someone that may not always put up eye catching numbers, but is an unselfish and vocal point guard who is going to share the ball and compete on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417305' first='Romeo' last='Kromah'] absolutely took over in the second half for [program_tooltip program_id='2076003' first='West' last='Central United'], taking them from down by 12 to leading by 5 in a matter of minutes. The 6'2 guard is one of the best athletes in the state's 2028 class, and he slashed to the rim for a baseline dunk, knocked down a number of threes, and was hanging in the air for acrobatic finishes off the drive. [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] had size and they had some quickness, but they didn't have anyone with the combination needed to slow Romeo down. WCU's coach was getting on them about their defensive effort in the first half, and they kicked it up a notch in the second led by Romeo's standout performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126461' first='Cal' last='Spencer'] came up with some big plays in a Sunday afternoon win for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans']. The 5'10 guard is known for his quick release from three, and that certainly showed throughout the game as Cal drained a number of shots from beyond the arc. Defenders were trying to chase him off the ball all game long, but he still found ways to get into pockets of space to catch and shoot. He also impressed as a finisher in this game. Cal was able to get defenders in the air with a shot fake before attacking the basket and finishing with touch high off the glass to avoid shot blockers. With under two minutes to play Cal connected on a three and a tough finish inside to put his team ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='2873622' first='Nick' last='Brakes'] showcased an impressive mid-range game for [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Hondl. At 6'4 he had the agility to get to his spots off one or two dribbles, and showed a high release point that made it difficult for defenders to contest when he pulled up. Elevate Skills was able to defend him with length, but that didn't slow down Nick at all as he was consistently getting to his spots on the floor. With his length on the other end he was able to defend a number of different positions, and provided an extra rebounding presence who could take a defensive board and quickly initiate the break the other way.

Oliver was a game changer off the bench for Comets Elite 16u. The 6'8 forward checked into the game, and within five minutes had already drained a pair of threes, showing a fluid stroke at his size. Oliver added in one more three in the second half, while using his long frame to impact the game as a rim protector. McKenna moves well at his size allowing him to pop out to the perimeter for jumpers, or slide into position to make plays at the rim. At 6'8 he gets up and down the floor with ease, and has a lot of potential moving forward as a prospect.

Lukas was originally a 2026 prospect, but doesn't turn 18 until August, and will be doing a prep year at DME in Florida next season. This past weekend with 7070 Athletics he showcased raw potential at 6'10. Pears has fluid mobility in the open floor, and got out in transition for an explosive dunk in the game I watched against [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']. In the half-court he was a threat rolling to the rim where he showcased good hands to catch in traffic before going up to finish with touch off the glass. If he caught anywhere near the basket, Lukas rarely missed. That touch extends all the way out to the three point line where he displayed a smooth looking jumper. He made perhaps his biggest impact defensively as he's a dominant shot blocker who can get off the floor quickly to swat shots.
