If we had a vote for MVP of the tournament it would have been Schregardus as he led his 2Way Stars squad to the title, where he scored a team-high 16 points. Deep quick-release threes as usual from the Nelson combo guard but he mixed it up well with some strong drives to the basket, drawing contact to get to the free throw line. He was also solid with his passing and getting teammates involved.

Had [program_tooltip program_id='2078849' first='Team' last='Fly'] won the tournament, Andrews would have been our pick for MVP. The Centennial guard was flat out unstoppable getting to the basket as he utilized his strength to move past defenders and then power his way to the hoop. If he missed he often was in position to grab the offensive rebound for a putback attempt - he simply was not going to be denied. He got hot from three a couple of times and as always, played with plenty of energy on D.

Ajayi didn't get to play this past season but there was no rust evident with his game. The Sunset junior guard excelled at the drive and dish, as he was constantly looking for guys with a lane to the hoop or an open look from the outside. He converted a number of baskets of his own and was able to knock down some open threes to keep the defense honest. Some quick hands on the defensive end as well led to created turnovers.

Poole was the heart and soul of the Eagles - essentially Hood River Valley's varsity squad - and most all of the offense began with him. He was shifty off the dribble and when he wasn't draining long range jumpers or pulling up from the mid-range, he was dishing out some nice passes to teammates for scoring opportunities. His play helped the Eagles capture a win in their last game of the event over Valley (Miller).

Since the [program_tooltip program_id='2850997' first='Cascade' last='Kings'] were off this past weekend, Schmidt joined up with Albany Elite and did exactly what you'd expect him to do - put up some points. Coming off the bench, he was instant offense with his deep threes and quick glides to the basket with the left-handed finishes, and his ability to score in a hurry helped propel Albany Elite to a win in the consolation bracket.

Similar to Schmidt - who happens to be his step-brother - Juarez was very much a walking bucket as well in the action we saw. The combo guard got his mainly from strong drives to the hoop where he absorbed contact or used creative ways to put the biscuit in the basket. His jumper was solid as well and he did a credible job with his on-ball defense.
