Lewis and Clark Elite Camp - Stock Risers

Lewis & Clark Men's Basketball held its first elite camp in 2026 on Sunday where new head coach Cory Coombe and his assistants helped lead and teach a group of collegiate prospects on campus at Stoller Gymnasium. While the overall attendance was on the smaller side, the competition was intense as players - the majority of whom were from in-state - were hoping to continue developing their skills and make an impression on the River Otters coaching staff. We had the opportunity to watch the majority of camp and after some discussions with the coaching staff, here are some more top performers among the participants from Oregon who should see their stock rise this upcoming season.    It took a little while for him to get cooking but Lindsey found his groove during the 5x5 play. The rising senior guard got hot with his perimeter shot, both off the catch and shoot and his patented mid-range pull-up in the lane. The Lincoln guard used his physical frame to drive hard to the basket and get tough on the defensive end. He's going to be one of the key guys to the Cardinals success this season.     The tallest player in attendance at about 6-foot-7, Pankey used his size to his advantage on the boards and defending the rim, as he registered a number of blocks throughout the day. Offensively, he was effective either spotting up or off the pick-and-pop, flashing a smooth touch on his lefty jumper from the perimeter. He's developed a lot since we saw him last and his size and upside are intriguing, especially at the D-III level as he's a high academic performer.     One thing was obvious from the jump - Corona can really shoot the ball. The rising junior - who will be returning to Woodburn after this past season at Tualatin - was dropping three after three in the shooting drills and his range extended beyond the college three-point line. Things cooled down during the 5x5 play but he was still solid with the ball in his hands making plays for himself and for others. It should be a big year for him back with the Bulldogs.     Another player that found his groove during 5x5 play was Andes. The rising senior from Central Catholic consistently got open on the perimeter for catch-and-shoot opportunities and was knocking them down both in the halfcourt and spotting up in transition. He's got a solid body and capably helped out on the boards and defensively. It will be interesting to see the role he carves out this upcoming season with the Rams.     Wilks was the find of the day for everyone as he was brand new to all, except for the exception of Lewis and Clark assistant coach Mark Swenson who last saw him when he was in the Lake Oswego youth program. The rising junior has good size at 6-foot-3 for a wing and throughout the day he showed the ability to make shots both off the catch and off the dribble. He showed off a good motor and was a factor both rebounding and on D. The opportunities are wide open at Lake Oswego this upcoming season and we wouldn't be surprised if Wilks grabs those by the horns.
