City Rocks got a huge overtime victory to end their weekend 2-1 and Taggart made some huge plays down the stretch to defeat Drive Nation on Sunday. No shot I saw all weekend was bigger than Taggert's four-point play with 30 seconds left to take the lead. Taggart knocks down shots off movement and has a quick release off the catch. I liked Taggart's movement off the ball and some of the designed sets City Rocks ran to free him up for looks around the perimeter. Taggart pitched in just over 12 points per game this weekend and I'll be looking for him to impact the game in other ways besides shooting throughout the summer.

Griffin stood out on a Drive Nation squad that is headlined by one of the top players in the country in [player_tooltip player_id='2252473' first='Marcus' last='Spears Jr']. While much of the attention and accolades go to Spears Jr, he needs teammates like Griffen to show his full potential. Griffen is a 3-and-D wing who can guard multiple positions and make shots off the catch. Shooting over 40% from 3-point range and generating almost two defensive stocks per game, Griffen played his role well. Expect to hear more about Griffen during the live periods as I'd assume Division I programs from around Texas will make him a priority to watch.

Spencer showed a lot of talent and long-term potential on Sunday with his explosive athleticism, quickness getting up and down the court for a big and high energy on both ends of the court. Spencer's best highlight came on a and-1 reverse layup with his right hand on the left side of the rim. Spencer also made some big plays late in the game on both ends and was efficient from the floor and free throw line this weekend. Still figuring some things out but there's a lot of upside for a program to take a chance on Spencer and turn him into a major contributor.

A 3-1 weekend for The Family 16 U saw a couple of their prospects pick up major steam among national scouts. George is an athletic wing who can guard almost anybody on the court when asked to and started the victory over the Ny Rens with two jumpers, a blocked shot and a pair of assists. With George's athleticism he can block shots, get steals or simply grab a defensive rebound to help start the fast break for his team. When he's also knocking down shots he looks like a complete player who can impact the game in multiple ways. George's best basketball is in front of him and besides limiting turnovers, there's few statistical areas from this past weekend that could use improvement. George will debut in our 2028 national rankings during our next update.

Cleveland and Brad Beal Elite got a grind it out victory over Team CP3 to avoid being shut out in the win column during session I. Cleveland was efficient as a scorer in the win and led Brad Beal Elite all weekend at just under 20 points per game. Cleveland's ability to knock down shots off the catch from the combo guard position helps space the floor for his team and Cleveland's ability to score with both hands at the rim makes him tough to stop getting downhill. After a big junior season with La Lumiere, I expect Cleveland to be one of the most productive scoring guards on the EYBL this season.

The Ohio native has settled in well with Team CP3 and is in his second season running the show for the program. Kendrick is super active and just finds himself consistently around the action on the court. Kendrick had multiple steals in the game I caught and averaged over two per game on the weekend. As a passer, Kendrick seems to not force the issue and can make both the simple and flashy pass to set up his teammates. Taking a major scoring load for his team, Kendrick was the one tasked with creating in late shot clock situations. Tough to find point guards who are more productive from a scoring, playmaking and defensive perspective than Kendrick is on the EYBL circuit this season.

Pur had a solid final game of the weekend by doing the things I've seen him do all winter for Spire. Pur runs the court, rebounds on both ends of the court and protects the rim. Able to make reads against the zone defense and make simple dribble moves with either hand, Pur shows some intriguing offensive flashes. Hoping to see Pur continue to fill out physically heading into his senior year as he'll be facing much heavier bigs at the college level but his impact as a rim protector and rebounder with some offensive skill makes him a valuable piece for Team CP3 on the EYBL circuit.

A strong wing forward prospect who played hard, rebounded and was active in the paint, Connor averaged over nine points and eight rebounds per game this weekend. Not afraid to be physical and throw his body around in the paint, there were a few rebounds Connor secured that were simply because he wanted it more than the opposition. Add in the action that Connor came up with some loose balls and scored at the rim and he made himself useful for his team. If Connor can develop a perimeter shot he could see his recruitment spike from his current offer list of Presbyterian and Coastal Carolina.
