This weekend is all about covering Prep Hoops The Stage at the Pacers Athletic Center. However, in order to provide the best content possible, we can't simply focus on one event every weekend. When something pops up just a short drive away like the Battle of the Brands we have to take advantage. By attending just two time slots we were able to see all of the teams in attendance at the 15u, 16u, and 17u levels featuring [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] (EYBL), Meanstreets (EYBL), UNRNKD Hoops (EYCL), and Zero Fears (3SSB). Here are some of the top performers from within the Hoosier state that we saw at this event.

"[player_tooltip player_id='3033269' first='Prentiss' last='Gates'] (Gary West Side H.S. 2029) blocks shots as a freshman the way [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] blocked shots as a freshman…and that was the best I'd seen in Indiana in 15 years. The 6'8” lefty for Meanstreets 15u is SPECIAL on that end of the floor. Just finished a rim run dunk too."

Grissom, generally know for his athleticism and ability to attack off of the dribble, shot the ball very well from three-point range in parts of the two games we watch on Saturday. The 6'3" junior guard made five three-point shots and finished with a team-leading 19 points in UNRNKD's loss to [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'].

URNKND Hoops 17u had a tough time against two EYBL opponents in [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u and Meanstreets 17u, but this Fort Wayne Snider guard looked the part against the high-level competition. Hogue hit some deep three-point shots, looked strong and athletic off of the dribble, and held his own on the defensive side of the basketball. It will be interesting to see what type of recruitment Hogue picks up this spring and summer.

This 6'5" wing was able to use his size and physicality on the perimeter to hold his own against some of the best competition in the area. Jackson scored 16 points in a hard fought loss against [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u. He was one of the stars throughout the Battle of the Brands for UNRNKD 16u. Look for him to have a big spring and summer. Very intriguing Class of 2028 prospect from Anderson High School.

Game after game Miller continues to prove himself as one of the best shot-makers in the country. He is so smooth with the ball in his hands, looks to maybe be a little more athletic than last summer, and does not miss many open shots. Miller finished with 20 points and 28 points respectively in [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u's two wins at the Battle of the Brands on Saturday.

Washington has transitioned very smoothly to [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 16u and was a big part of a pair of wins on Saturday at the Battle of the Brands. The 6'5" guard had 20 points in their first victory and then 16 points laster in the evening in another win. His size, length, and athleticism in the backcourt is very hard for opposing guards to deal with.

Welker got a lot of run with [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u at the Battle of the Brands and made the most of his opportunities. He displayed his offensive versatility scoring it out of the mid-post, finishing putbacks around the basket, and using his athleticism to score in transition. The 6'7" forward from Homestead High School has gotten bigger and stronger heading into this spring.
