AAU Team Preview: Hoop Habits Elite UA 17U

<p>[program_tooltip program_id='2859102' first='Hoop' last='Habits Elite'] UA 17U will play in four Prep Hoops Circuit events in 2026. In April they'll play in the Twin Cities Takedown event April 24-26th. In May they'll play in Battle at the Lakes May 10-12th and NHR State Tournament May 29-31st. To kick-off July they'll play in The Tune-Up July 2nd-3rd.</p>   <p><a href="https://www.hoophabitselite.com/team/178442/roster">Find Hoop Habits Here</a></p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126458' first='Luke' last='Schroeder'] - Schroeder is a six-foot-three-inch 2027 guard from Shakopee who I first saw at 14U playing for Team Tyus and immediately you could see Shroeder was a shooter. Schroeder had range all over the floor and that has continued with added abilities with the ball in his hands. Schroeder on high volume and lead ball handler leads Shakopee in scoring as well as 3-pointer shooting at 41.8% from beyond the arc. Walter has good size as a shooting guard and is an excellent shooter. High floor IQ and more often than not makes the right play, either that be a pass, defensive rotation and taking the ball himself for a score.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/FreshCoastHoops/status/2030668788178280816 </div></figure>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2842020' first='Xaviahn' last='Ivey'] - Ivey is a six-foot point guard from Wayzata that is a quick and speedy player with good passing vision and ability to run his team from the point of attack. Ivey uses his speed to play the game with good pace and seems to be under control more often than not. Ivey displays solid rim finishing skills for his size and is a good perimeter shooting guard.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/reels/DI9O_ftttkg </div></figure>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson'] - Gholson is a six-foot-two-inch 2027 guard from Rosemount who is a good perimeter scorer shooting from the outside. Gholson was the Irish's leading scorer at almost 20 points per game while also being the lead ball handler and creator. Gholson has improved finishing around the basket, and shows good strength guarding on the floor.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/p/DTYKv1ZkYcX/ </div></figure>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2113031' first='Eli' last='Herzog'] - Herzog is a six-foot-one-inch 2027 guard from Minnesota State Championship Chaska. The Hawks showcased incredible team defense on their way to a state title. Herzog was one of the keys to Chaska's approach on offense, scoring 10 points per game and hitting 37.4% of his 3-pointers on 182 attempts. Herzog doesn't need much time to dial in shooting from distance and the ball in his hands doesn't stick long.</p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] - The six-foot-eight-inch 2027 Mahtomedi forward Roelofs had a fantastic season averaging 22 points and at least 10 boards a game. Roelofs gets up and down the floor very well for a player his size and handles the ball well. He is long and disruptive as a defender on the wing and around the basket. Left-handed shooter with range and a good shooting stroke. Offensively never stays still and cuts from away from the ball.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/p/DVr5EVSjFIi/?igsh=cWdkczZjZ3RuOHYz </div></figure>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2433515' first='Kolby' last='Thompson'] - Thompson is a six-foot guard from Prior Lake that led a deep Lakers team in scoring at 17.1 points per game during the 2025-26 season. Thompson is a super 3-point shooter hitting 46.4% of his 3-pointers during the season while averaging 3.6 assists per game as the Lakers lead ball handler and creator. Thompson was a 1st Team All-Conference performer this season for Prior Lake.</p>    <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2836953' first='Weston' last='Moeller'] - Moeller is a six-foot-three-inch 2028 guard from Wayzata operates mostly on the wing and his size enables him to do that without a lot of trouble. Moeller displays good court awareness, he has a good outside shot, and can operate with the ball as a secondary creator on the wing.</p>
