The spring travel season has officially kicked off, which means it's the perfect time to update our rankings for the remaining classes in New England.

Today, we'll start with an update to the rankings for the Class of 2027!

This is a talented and deep class, with prospects that will eventually play at the highest level of college basketball all the way to Division III. Of note, however, is that this update will not reflect any recently announced transfer, post-grad, or reclass decisions - that player movement will be highlighted in our summer rankings update!

Here are a few notes on our rankings update for the 27's:

[player_tooltip player_id='2195047' first='Patrick' last='Otey'] closes out the season in the same spot he's held for the last year - #1 in New England! The St. Thomas More School guard is a big-time scorer that can get it done at all three levels. He's capable of making plays with the ball in his hands, is a plus athlete, and has some defensive versatility.

The Brewster Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2470964' first='Antonio' last='Pemberton'], jumps up to #2 in this update. The lead guard has risen up the national rankings and is an elite scorer of the basketball. He's a dynamic athlete, gets it done at all three levels, and has the ability to take over games as an isolation scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470882' first='Theo' last='Edema'] checks in at #3, as the Cushing Academy big man continues to impress with his ability to control the paint on both ends of the floor. At 6'11", he has elite positional size, has a terrific motor on the glass, and does a nice job of finishing everything around the rim with authority.

Up next, at #4, is Brewster Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='1682357' first='Markus' last='Kerr']. One of the region's most versatile prospects, he's an elite athlete that can defend any position on the floor while also showing the ability to make plays with the ball in his hands. He scores it at a high rate around the rim and continues to develop as a playmaker.

Rounding out the Top 5 is Vermont Academy's [player_tooltip player_id='2568339' first='Kamari' last='Whyte']. A tenacious guard, Whyte does a terrific job of defending at the point of attack, is an elite scorer in the open floor, and has continued to develop as an outside shooter. His physically developed frame and competitiveness stand out each time he takes the floor.

In all, 175 prospects have been ranked in this update, with an additional 261 appearing on the Watch List.

All six New England state are represented in these rankings, with prospects coming from the NEPSAC, the Power 5, the Nike EYBL Scholastic League, and each of the six state associations.
