Oregon's Top Unsigned Seniors Vol. 1

Heading into April, here are some of the state's top unsigned seniors and I will provide an end of season analysis and a projection of where each may player might go.    Projected Level: Low to Mid Major D1   Analysis: He reinforced his status as one of the top players in the state for the 2026 class with an impressive showing at the state tournament, averaging 16.7 points per game across a standout run. A fast, dynamic guard, Paschal plays with excellent pace and control, thriving as both a floor general and a scorer. Offensively, he's difficult to contain—capable of stretching the floor with his shooting while also attacking downhill as a relentless slasher who finishes effectively at the rim. His tight handle and quickness allow him to consistently break down defenders, and he excels in transition, creating easy scoring opportunities. Paschal has a proven ability to deliver in high-pressure moments, showing poise and confidence as a clutch performer. Beyond scoring, he impacts the game in multiple ways—competing defensively, staying active on the glass, and generating second-chance opportunities for his team. His motor, toughness, and complete skill set make him a constant presence on both ends of the floor. A First Team All-State selection, he currently holds a Division I offer from Portland State.     Projected Level: Low to Mid Major D1   Analysis: He is a high-level guard in the 2026 class who brings a complete, college-ready profile on and off the court. An ESPN 4-star prospect and the #2 ranked guard in Oregon, Montague has established himself as one of the premier backcourt players in the state. At 18 years old, he pairs elite production with strong academics, carrying a 3.7 GPA. His on-court résumé is equally impressive—earning Oregon 5A Player of the Year, Conference Player of the Year, 1st Team All-League, and 1st Team All-Tournament honors. Montague averaged 19.8 points, 5.7 assists, 4.4 rebounds, and 3 steals per game, while shooting an efficient 54% from the field. A dynamic playmaker, he impacts the game in multiple ways—scoring at all three levels, facilitating for teammates, and creating turnovers on the defensive end. His feel for the game and ability to control tempo make him a true floor general. With 1300+ career points, Montague has proven consistency and scoring ability over time. He's also competed at a high level on the national circuit, playing 2x EYBL and 1x 3SSB, gaining valuable experience against top-tier talent. An unsigned senior, Montague presents a strong option for college programs seeking a proven, versatile guard who can contribute immediately.     Projected Level: NAIA, D3   Analysis: Lawson earned First Team All-Tournament honors for the second consecutive year, this time leading from the consolation side of the bracket and solidifying his reputation as one of the state's top unsigned seniors. With Canby relying heavily on his scoring, the senior guard delivered in a major way—producing at all three levels while averaging 20.0 points per game on an efficient 54.5% shooting from the field, 50% from three, and an impressive 17-of-19 from the free throw line. His ability to score efficiently in multiple ways made him a constant offensive threat. Lawson also showcased his playmaking ability, averaging 3.7 assists per game, proving he can both score and facilitate at a high level. He capped off his career as one of Canby's all-time greats with two standout performances in the consolation round—an efficient 19 points on 6-for-8 shooting against North Eugene, followed by a team-high 21 points in the 4th/6th place game. A poised and polished point guard, Lawson combines scoring efficiency, decision-making, and leadership—making him a strong late pickup as one of the top remaining unsigned seniors in the state. (JT)     Projected Level: National JUCO, D2   Owens delivered a dominant all-around performance, finishing with 21 points and 13 rebounds, showcasing his impact on both ends of the floor. A versatile presence, he consistently attacked the rim with strength, played through contact, and displayed soft touch around the basket. He made his mark defensively as well, protecting the rim and altering shots while serving as a reliable lob threat offensively. Owens also showed solid awareness as a passer and converted at the free throw line, adding to his overall efficiency. An All-State Honorable Mention for the Cavaliers, Owens has established himself as one of the state's top rebounders, averaging around eight boards per game. His physicality, activity level, and two-way production make him a constant force in the paint.     Projected Level: High D2, Mid Major D1   Analysis: Miller utilized his length and athleticism to impact the game on both ends of the at the state tournament. He delivered strong performances being one of the best scorers and rebounders on his team. A polished scorer, he features one of the smoothest, most consistent jump shots in the state, capable of knocking down shots from multiple areas with ease. He runs the floor well and thrives in transition, using his athleticism to finish above the rim and create easy scoring opportunities. On the glass, Miller contributes as a solid rebounder, adding value beyond just scoring. A true two-way player, he brings defensive versatility along with offensive efficiency. When he finds a rhythm, he's difficult to slow down and can quickly shift the momentum of a game. As one of the more intriguing 6A prospects still unsigned, Miller's combination of size, skill, and shot-making makes him a strong late pickup with significant upside.
