No. 1 Cedar Falls, [player_tooltip player_id='1765505' first='Parker' last='Berns'] - Regular readers of Cedar Falls content know that Berns was one of my favorite transfer additions of 2025-26. A solid, playmaking, even-keel guard that takes what's given to him, defends and is unselfish, Berns was a perfect addition to Cedar Falls' star-studded lineup. His 7.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 steals per contest have been an excellent complement to the play of the rest of the roster.

No. 2 Waukee, [player_tooltip player_id='1765539' first='Max' last='Roach'] - One of the sharpest shooters in all of 4A, [player_tooltip player_id='1765539' first='Max' last='Roach'] has been on fire from deep this season. Making nearly half (48.4%) of his threes this year, the 5-foot-10 guards' play has been absolutely critical to the Warriors' two-loss season so far. Tied for the spot as the second-leading scorer for Waukee, Roach is averaging 12.7 points and 4.1 assists per game in addition to his ridiculously good three-point shooting percentage. Don't let the senior guard get hot.

No. 3 Waukee Northwest, [player_tooltip player_id='1756989' first='Isaiah' last='Oliver'] - Heading to Iowa next fall to walk-on and play wide receiver for the Hawkeyes, Oliver is in his final of two seasons with Waukee Northwest, where he has earned his keep as a high-IQ, athletic guard that has a quick first step and bounce. A key defender that averages 1.5 steals per game, Oliver's football mindset of intensity and effort are huge for the Wolves. Putting up 9.7 points and dishing out at team-best 5.7 assists per game, he makes his Big Ten-signed teammates even better.

No. 4 Dowling Catholic, [player_tooltip player_id='2443978' first='Alfred' last='Kolee'] - A big, long, athletic wing that serves as the Maroons' second member in the front court, Kolee is exactly what a wing/forward should be for their state title-contending 4A squad. A bouncy lob threat that can put it on someone's head in the paint, serve as a help defender to protect the rim and swat shots, all while averaging 10.3 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 63.9% from the field, Kolee could be the difference between an early departure or a title run for Dowling.

No. 5 Dubuque Senior, [player_tooltip player_id='1765536' first='Cooper' last='Porter'] - Another elite senior gaurd, Porter has been sensational for Dubuque this season. Boasting a eye-popping assist-to-turnover ratio of 4.84, the 6-foot guard has not only made his teammates better, but he's been super efficient in the scoring department, too. Putting up 13 points per contest while making 74-of-164 three-pointers (45.1%), Porter is one of the main reasons the fifth-seeded team in the state looks like they could contend for a title.

No. 6 Johnston, [player_tooltip player_id='2116043' first='Joshua' last='Jenkins'] - A stretch big that can knock down threes with regularity, while also putting the ball on the floor and putting up athletic finishes at the rim, Jenkins isn't your traditional center -- and the Dragons may be better off because of it. A 6-foot-5 center and knockdown corner three shooter, Jenkins scores 11.6 points and grabs 5.4 rebounds while shooting 42.9% from deep.

No. 7 Cedar Rapids Prairie, [player_tooltip player_id='2419840' first='Cayden' last='Larson'] - A skilled big that can bail out the Prairie Hawks if they're not shooting well, but also deter opposing teams from getting points in the paint, Larson is a piece of the CRP puzzle helps the picture come together. At 6-foot-8, more traditional big that can still step out and shoot it, Larson is a forward that doesn't make mistakes, doesn't force shots and does do what's needed of him to help Prairie win. His 11.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game could easily come together in the form of a double-double and be a difference-maker for his team.

No. 8 Urbandale, [player_tooltip player_id='1950542' first='Davis' last='Hardersen'] - Last but not least, Hardersen is the third of a three-headed monster that the J-Hawks put on the court every night. The smallest of the three, standing at 6-foot-3, Hardersen still leads Urbandale in rebounds with five per game to go with his 14.5 points per contest. A fighter on the boards that also shoots 36.9% from deep on over 122 attempts, Hardersen's versatility will be huge for the J-Hawks at state.
