Van Donge did what every star player has to do when the game is on the line -- he found a way to score. Whether he was facing traffic and attacked off the dribble, used footwork to find a crease in the paint, or fought through physical defense, he found a way to get a layup and score with some of the best efficiency of thes tate tournament, scoring on just under 65% of his attempts from the field.

Another standout big from the week's events in Des Moines, Clair was a critical part of Kuemper's ability to protect the rim defensively, taking up space and deterring opposing teams from attacking the bucket with his length. On offense, the stretch big provided the most efficient way to score the ball -- with layups and three-pointers, serving as a stretch big that also utilized a lethal spin move to his left and the ability to finish with both hands.

Stepping up in a massive way all season long for the Knights with the loss of expected star and leading scorer, [player_tooltip player_id='1765503' first='Brock' last='Badding'], Glynn didi it again in Des Moines this week. As confident as they come as a three-point shooter, Glynn launches with freedom provided by the Kuemper coaching staff. Even with a desperation heave at the end of regulation in the title game, Glynn shot a more than respectable 38.8% from three during the tournament, including big shots to keep Kuemper in the game late in the title.

Unity Christian's all-time leading scorer, Bosma showed off just how hot he can get as a shooter in the semifinals, making 9-of-13 three-pointers in the Knights' 72-46 victory over Regina in the semifinals. He may have struggled to score for a good portion of the tournament, but he was key in their ability to reach the final, and he provided necessary spacing for the MVP of the 2A Tournament, Van Donge, to go to work and score in the paint.

He and Treynor came up just shy of a major upset in the semifinals of the tournament, falling just two points shy of upsetting Kuemper and reaching the championship game. Much of that was thanks to the stellar play of their lead guard, Lovely. Kuemper, and Treynor's first round opponent, Grundy Center, knew that Lovely would be a focal point of the offense, but the star senior got his anyway with a pretty stroke from deep and the handles to get downhill and score at the cup.
