Carter Brown Scores 51; More from Playoff Section Wednesday

Wednesday night he upped that scoring with a 51 point, 13 rebound outing and put 34 points in before it was even halftime. Brown's shift to a perimeter scorer shooting the 3-ball and being able to drive and finish at the basket has grown his game so much this season. Brown is averaging 27.8 points per game in his coming out season. </p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1874931' first='Shiloh' last='Ayitey'] - 2026 senior six-foot-two-inch guard from Blaine led the Bengals with 26 points Wednesday and a win over Cambridge-Isanti. The Blaine combo guard made shots in the mid-range and at the basket and generated 9 free throw attempts. </p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1936143' first='Caden' last='Roessler'] - The 2026 Andover guard scored 17 points and scooped up 4 steals to lead Andover past Centennial Wednesday in Andover's 4A Section 7 quarterfinal win. Roessler, who is committed to play at North Central University, does a little bit of everything offensively, shoot from the perimeter, slash to the basket, and move the ball unselfishly.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140710' first='Willie' last='Moore'] - The five-foot-ten-inch 2027 Owatonna guard scored 43 points Wednesday to lead Owatonna past Lakeville North 73-72 including his last point being a free throw to win the game. Moore is Owantonna's primary ball handler and lead guard running the show for the Huskies. He showed ability to hit 3-pointers in transition like early in the first half he grabbed a defensive rebound and 3 seconds later was hoisting a perimeter shot. Moore was active as a defender at the point of attack, even poking away a ball for a steal and racing the other way for a score.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/streethistory/status/2029644185330930069 </div></figure>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Eden Prairie 3 Lead Over Minnetonka</h2>   <p>Minnesota Mr. Basketball finalist [player_tooltip player_id='1560851' first='Hamze' last='Yusuf'] scored 19 points and fellow 2026 senior [player_tooltip player_id='2119596' first='Cooper' last='Fahning'] scored 17 while 2027 junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2137323' first='Carter' last='Pulrang'] scored 20 to lead Eden Prairie past Minnetonka in their first round section match-up 64-46.</p>   <p>Pulrang a six-foot-one-inch guard for the Eagles is a good perimeter shooter, and does well working from the perimeter at times with the ball in his hands. Pulrang gives Eden Prairie good energy and good effort on the defensive side of the court. When he is not the primary scoring option to stay active on offense passing the ball and not staying still.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2417091' first='Isiah' last='Boyer'] - The five-foot-ten-inch 2027 Becker guard scored 22 points leading the Bulldogs past St. Francis in their 76-43 win Wednesday. Boyer, who'll be playing with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans'] this spring and summer hit 8 shots and 3 of those shots came from beyond the arc. The junior guard is averaging 16 points per game while shooting above 40% from the perimeter.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2728383' first='Damarion' last='Moss'] - The six-foot-three-inch 2026 senior from Detroit Lakes gave the Lakers a top performance Wednesday against St. Cloud Tech in a narrow 74-70 defeat in their 3A Section 8 game. Moss scored 31 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished 3 assists, and snagged 3 steals. Moss plays the lead guard position with good pace, he's a good ball handler and perimeter shooter.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2821845' first='Malik' last='Martin'] - The 2029 six-foot-seven-inch freshman from Minneapolis Camden and Minneapolis Hustlers scored 17 points Wednesday against Mahtomedi to finish up his freshman season. The left-hand Martin has very good size for his age, and good length that extends further than his height. He is an agile moving forward that has the ability to face-up from anywhere on the floor and score.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] - The six-foot-seven-inch 2027 Mahtomedi wing's strong 2025-26 season continues as he scored 23 points against Camden to advance in their 3A Section 4 first round game. Roelofs, a left-handed shooter, has been stellar from the perimeter shooting, and is showing more aggressive moves putting the ball on the floor and going to the basket. Roelofs uses his height and reach advantage in high school games to gather lots of rebounds and block a shot or two a game. For the season he's averaging 22.4 points per game.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2843078' first='Joey' last='Wright'] - Wright is a six-foot-two-inch 2029 guard from Mahtomedi. Playing for Hoop Habits last summer Wright showed good ability as a secondary ball handler and perimeter shooter. It took him a bit to find a role as a freshman for Mahtomedia but he seems to have figured some things out scoring 14 points versus Minneapolis Camden Wednesday while also scoring 14 points against Simley two games prior and has scored double digits in 3 of his last 6 games.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">4A Section 4</h2>   <p>No surprises in Section 4 as all high seeds advance with #1 seed Tartan beating Two Rivers 89-32, #2 seed East Ridge and [player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] winning 77-51 over White Bear Lake, #3 seed and last year State runner-up Cretin-Derham Hall winning 80-48 over  Woodbury, and #4 St. Paul Central beating Stillwater 80-63.</p>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] quest for 2026 Minnesota Mr. Basketball continues as he scored 32 points for East Ridge Wednesday night.</p>   <p>Read more about Section 4 here.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Highlight of the Night</h2>   <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2574749' first='Gideon' last='Horne'] - The Richfield junior guard had the highlight of the evening Wednesday when his dunk shattered the backboard in their 67-28 destruction of Westonka. Horne is a super athletic guard that finishes above the rim often while also using that speed and quickness to obtain deflections and steals.
