Las Vegas grabbed the early lead and was up 16-11 after the first eight minutes of play. But Legacy answered with 22 points in the second quarter to take a 33-30 lead going into halftime.

Things then got much more interesting in the third quarter, when Las Vegas went off for 21 points and held Legacy to just 10, making it 51-43 heading into the fourth.

But the Longhorns didn't waver and were relentless with their press. They also got downhill consistently and made their free throws. It then came down to the wire in the closing minutes, and Legacy retook the lead when forward [player_tooltip player_id='2288366' first='Jordyn' last='Perdue'] hit free throws with four minutes left to make it 58-56.

Las Vegas didn't quit, as 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2468405' first='Amari' last='Hinds'] cut the lead to one with 48 seconds remaining. Perdue then put a shot high off the glass with about 25 seconds left to make it 68-65 Longhorns. Las Vegas guard [player_tooltip player_id='2327731' first='Jakhai' last='Jones'] answered with a score in the paint with 15 seconds left, trimming Legacy's lead back to one.

Perdue then received the ball after Legacy advanced it up the court and went to the line with nine seconds left. He connected on the first free throw but missed the second. Las Vegas got one more opportunity after securing the rebound and advanced the ball with about five seconds remaining, getting it to Hinds. However, he didn't get the cleanest look, and Legacy held on, 69-67.

Perdue also hit multiple clutch shots that helped Legacy advance to the Championship. It was an impressive performance from the junior.

Micah Cazar was shooting the lights out last night in the semifinals. He had an eye popping 4 3-pointers in the first half, and he appeared to be fully locked in. Then in the second half, he made a reverse layup, another 2 3's, and converted on a few free throws. All in all, Cazar had a very strong showing on offense and it was entertaining to watch.
