was another Wildcat who stood out in last night’s win. He snagged several quality rebounds and was effective scoring inside against Faith Lutheran’s forwards. Defensively, Jones was disruptive throughout, and his overall impact played a key role in Las Vegas securing the victory.

found his rhythm early in the Wildcats win. He was doing much his damage in the paint, and had 6 fairly quick points. Then in the second half, he hit a tough turn around 2, a 3-pointer, and he knocked down some free throws in OT. On defense, he was utilizing his energy and lateral quickness to stay in front of the Losee guards. All in all, the senior played well and I liked how he competed on both ends.

(pictured) turned in a big-time performance for the Wildcats in their win over The Meadows School. He was hitting shots from just about everywhere, including from 3-point land, where he knocked down three of his attempts. I also noticed him attacking the basket with speed, capped off by an eye-popping reverse layup. Jones led Las Vegas in scoring with 21 points.

was a two-way playmaker for the Wildcats. Offensively, his burst allowed him to get downhill and draw frequent trips to the free-throw line, where he converted six attempts. Defensively, he brought consistent pressure and pushed through fatigue as he helped Las Vegas spark a near comeback.

on offense shoots the ball very well. He plays like a spot-up shooter when he moves around off the ball. He is also a great passer who makes accurate and timely passes. Jones’ defense may be the most impressive part of his game to me. He always keeps his hands moving and is very quick to help him switch from one defender to another.

Jakahi Jones is a slasher, and isn’t easy top stop when he gets a full head of steam and drives downhill. Jones also knows how to make clever passes when he draws a lot of attention. On defense, he is a ballhawk and gets both deflections and steals.

If you’re going to play for Vegas, you’re going to have to defend and the 2026 PG did that. He was impressive on ball, and active in zone looks. Perhaps his most impressive skill was his versatility as he averaged just around 3 points, rebounds and assists during the event.
