[player_tooltip player_id='1406767' first='Munir' last='Greig'] did his thing against Bishop Gorman in the 5A State Semifinals. He opened the game by knocking down multiple free throws and a three, setting the tone early. Greig then splashed three more shots from beyond the arc for the Cougars, and it was clear he was in a rhythm. He also showcased his PF Flyers in the open court, blowing past defenders and finishing at the rim with authority. Look for the junior guard to keep it rolling on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490283' first='Amare' last='Oba'] delivered a strong shooting performance for the Cougars. He splashed in a pair of threes in the first half to go along with a spinning finish at the rim and a smooth mid-range jumper. In the second half, Oba buried his third triple and added four more points at the line and inside the arc. Overall, he consistently put pressure on the Gaels' defense and showed zero hesitation letting it fly.

I liked how Damari Hunter competed in the 5A state semifinals. He brought consistent effort on the defensive end, applying good ball pressure and making the Gorman guards uncomfortable throughout the game. Offensively, he contributed a three-pointer and added a slick drive to the rim that he finished in traffic.

I mentioned in my “Why Each Team Can Win” article that Dorrough could be an X-factor for the Cougars because of his ability to make plays in the paint, and he answered that call. He tipped in misses, crashed the offensive glass for second-chance opportunities, and threw down forceful dunks when the moment presented itself. Defensively, Dorrough added a block and altered several other shots, making his presence felt on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463264' first='Jonny' last='Collins'] was effective against the Gaels, attacking the rim and draining from the perimeter. The senior combo guard did his damage at the charity stripe, converting six of his attempts. Collins also buried a pair of threes and finished with 12 points. Defensively, he applied steady pressure, staying active with his hands and giving opposing guards very little space to operate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2086139' first='Tyler' last='Johnson'] provided steady offense for Bishop Gorman thanks to his burst, athleticism, and finishing ability. He had more than a few tough drives to the rack that he dropped in. While also making a baseline jumper, plus a couple of other shots near the basket. Although the Gaels didn't grab the win, he wrapped up a great season for them with another competitive outing.
