January is almost half over, meaning the season is starting to pick up. Six teams are undefeated through at least nine game so far this season. Prospects who have been flying under the radar have been coming up clutch for their teams as they have had big performances so far. Here are the under the radar prospects to watch for New Jersey's undefeated teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='2895818' first='Imaad' last='Johnson'], 6'3 SG St. Joe's Metuchen 2027

[player_tooltip player_id='2201945' first='Andrew' last='Kretkowski'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2202021' first='Aidan' last='Carter'] get more of the acclaim, but Johnson has been a key player for the Falcons in the backcourt. The 6'3 guard has a good handle, which he uses to blow by his defender and finishes strong around the rim. Johnson can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and pushes the pace well in transition. Johnson is a talented guard prospect who should continue to impact the game at both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763527' first='Chris' last='Abreu'], PG Cherry Hill East 2027

Jameison Young sparks the offense for the Cougars, but Abreu has had a big season in the backcourt as well. He uses his speed to blow by his defender and can finish in a variety of ways around the rim. Abreu threads passes to his open teammates in the half court and can also play off the ball. He uses his quickness to get steals on the defensive end and is a solid rebounder. Abreu is a speedy guard prospect whose ability to make plays on and off the ball will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2966260' first='Christian' last='Gray'], 6'0 CG Shabazz 2026

The Bulldogs have a guard quartet of Gray, [player_tooltip player_id='2201950' first='Elijah' last='Colon'], [player_tooltip player_id='1775139' first='Zaim' last='Barnes'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2782185' first='Anthony' last='Blackmon'] with the first one flying under the radar more than the others. The 6'0 guard plays with composure on the ball as he rarely gets sped up by on-ball pressure and finds his open teammates in the half court. Gray can also score in the mid-range and sets his feet before he shoots. He is a tough on-ball defender and rarely makes bad decisions with the ball in his hands. Gray is a dynamic guard prospect who is looking to end his varsity career with a state championship.

Adin Goldschneider, SG Tenafly 2027

Goldschneider has been on fire so this season as he is averaging 26 points per game. He attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes well around the basket and can make shots through contact. Goldschneider moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He can also make plays with the ball in his hands and uses his instincts to get deflections on the defensive end. Goldschneider is currently on an eight-game streak of at least 20 points or more and is looking to continue that streak over the next couple of weeks.

Brian McKenna, 6'2 SG Wall 2026

McKenna has been clutch for the Crimson Knights all season as he's led them to a 9-0 start this season. The 6'2 guard attacks the basket with a purpose and has a nice touch in the mid-range. McKenna can also knock down shots from behind the arc and moves well without the ball in his hands. He works hard on the defensive end and is a strong rebounder. McKenna is a tough guard prospect who is looking to lead Wall back to its first sectional title since 2020.

Cameron Hayes-Durina, 6'1 SG Metuchen 2026

Hayes-Durina has come up big for the Bulldogs as he paces the team with averages of 20 points, 8.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. The 6'1 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he finishes strong around the rim and can also make shots in the mid-range. Hayes-Durina rarely gets rattled by on-ball pressure and sets his feet before he shoots. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and makes plays on the defensive end. Hayes-Durina has been filling up the stat sheet all season and should continue to do so this January and February.
