While you lock that in, we're shifting our focus to one of the strongest classes in the state — a group that's primed for major movement over the next few years. Hot starts have launched new names into the spotlight, while others are still building toward their breakthrough. This class is far from settled, and the board is already shifting. Here are some of the top risers in the 2028 rankings.

At the break, Fedderson is leading all sophomores in scoring. He's putting up an impressive 20.7 points a game, and when watching him, you can see what makes him special. He is the class's most versatile player as he can play and defend 1-5 despite being 6'7. He's the team's primary ball handler; he reads when double teams are coming and remains aggressive despite getting so many looks. He's put up 15+ in every single game on this year, rebounds out of his position, and is a two-way force. He's a player who continues to rise with his play, but he also has a very high ceiling. He's cracked the Top-10 for the first time and looks to continue to rise. Make sure to get eyes on Feddersen.

Through 6 games, Gus is a Top-10 scorer in the class at 17.5 points a game. But he has 6.7 rebounds to go along with it. He's the team's best player, and he's been filling it up. He's a 6'5 all-around player who can score both inside and out. He's 14-30 from deep, finishes with ease inside, and attacks mismatches. He shows a polished game, while being the primary scorer and player whom teams key in on, and that has not slowed him down. Gus has had games of 32 points, 21 points, and a game of 24 points and 15 rebounds, and those were all in wins. He's one of the biggest risers in the entire class as he went from a prospect on the watch list to now in the Top-15. Huge rise for him.

Cherokee Trail has been entertaining to start the season. They have balance, they play with pace, and they have one of the state's best backcourts. Of that backcourt tandem is [player_tooltip player_id='2393593' first='Anthony' last='Ayon']. Ayon has been a consistent force through 11 games as a sniper from deep, a facilitating guard who attacks, and one of the better rebounding guards. He's averaging 11 points and 3.3 rebounds a game. He went through a stretch as an assertive guard who put up double figures in 9 straight games, and he stretches the floor with his outside shooting. He's already knocked down 19 3-pointers on the season and will be a guard to watch for the rest of the season. He's making a rise in the rankings with his eyes on jumping even more.

Langford made the switch over to Northfield and is a player who your eyes gravitate towards due to his ability to do what the game asks of him. At times, it's scoring, at others it's rebounding and making his mark on the defensive end of the floor, and he answers the call. He's averaging 9.1 points a game on a team whose 8-1. He's a downhill attacker whose athleticism gives him advantages. He can affect the game with his work ethic and defensive versatility, and that makes him the team's X-factor. He makes a rise in the rankings with his work to begin the year and think he has an even more dynamic finish. We're excited to see his production moving forward.

Grothe is a prospect that we have seen now a few times, but he's made a huge jump in production now that his opportunity has come. He's averaging 11.8 points a game right now and has been a prospect that teammates make sure to find. He's been a reliable scorer both inside and out as he's hit 3-pointers, knocked down mid-range jumpers, and finished near the basket. He's also been a facilitator who has run the show for Classical Academy and appears to be the team's best passer. Grothe is putting up 5.5 assists a game, which is Top-5 in the class, has 3.5 steals a game, which is amongst the top in the class, and is also a force on the boards. He's been a complete player and is due for a ranking bump.

Regis Groff is 7-0 on the year and has been blowing each team they come across out. They have elite guard play, solid defenders, and they can score with the best of them. The prospect on the team that has showcased that the most is Javaree. In the first two seasons, Javaree has had arguably the best stats in the class. This season, he's putting up 17.2 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.8 steals a game. He's an inside force with great footwork, attacks the glass, and goes right up. He's an athletic tweener who has been one of the most efficient players in the entire state. We want to see him at showcases, playing AAU, and at camps. We want him to continue proving himself as we feel he's a game-changer who allows that Regis Groff team to be so dynamic. He rises in the rankings.
