Somerset County Tournament Wing Prospects to Watch

<p>The end of January is almost here, meaning county tournament play is upon us. The perimeter play will be fun to watch during the county tournament, especially in Somerset County. Here are the wing prospects to watch during the Somerset County Tournament.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2917025' first='Prosper' last='Highlander'], 6'6 SG/SF Gill St. Bernard's 2026</strong></h2>   <p>Canisius commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1919211' first='Dorsett' last='Mulcahy']</strong> has made an impact for the Knights this season, but Highlander has been a force as well this season. The 6'6 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and uses his strength to draw shots through contact. Highlander is more than just a slasher as he has a high release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor and is a strong rebounder. Highlander has the ability to make plays inside and out, which he should put up on display during the Somerset County Tournament.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2504896' first='William' last='Brunson'], 6'6 SF Rutgers Prep 2028</strong></h2>   <p>Brunson has been on a tear this season as he has four 30-point games this season. The 6'6 wing explodes off the floor for dunks and uses his size to see over his defender. Brunson rarely gets sped up by on-ball pressure and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He uses his length to impact the game on the defensive end and pushes the pace well in transition. Brunson is a talented wing prospect who should continue to put his game on display throughout the course of the season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2683649' first='Mike' last='Simborski'], 6'2 SG/SF Montgomery 2028</strong></h2>   <p>Penn commit <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1790209' first='Ethan' last='Lin']</strong> runs the Cougars' offense, but that hasn't stopped Simborski from having a breakout sophomore campaign. The 6'2 wing uses his handle to get into the lane and can finish in a variety of ways around the rim. Simborski can also score in the mid-range and wastes little motion in his release. He rarely forces jumpers in the half court and works hard on the defensive end. Simborski has been playing at a high level all season and should continue to do so over the next couple of weeks.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2203815' first='Ryan' last='Rust'], 6'2 SG Pingry 2027</strong></h2>   <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2504903' first='Dylan' last='Cowell'] </strong>has been a force down low for Pingry, but Rust will be the key for them on the perimeter. The 6'2 guard has a clean release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Rust moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He is a solid passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Rust is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should troch the nets from distance throughout the course of the tournament.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2731718' first='Riley' last='Gorman'], 6'2 SG Immaculata 2026</strong></h2>   <p>Gorman also plays on the ball, making him an intriguing prospect to track. The 6'2 guard has a smooth shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and knocks down triples in bunches. Gorman is more than just a shooter as he is also able to get into the paint off the bounce and finishes well around the rim. He is an underrated defender and moves well without the ball in his hands.
