When Shook is shooting like he did against Heritage Hall, the Rangers are one tough team to beat. He got one to fall early and shot it with confidence throughout. Even was shaking and baking when getting into pull ups. Including drilling clutch shots in the second half. His shooting opened up the rest of his game, good pace and smoothness as a driver. Has the ability to make quick decisions, with a behind the back dime on one drive. Have always liked his vision and feel, now has made big strides as an exciting combo guard for 3A Contenders Roland.

Too fast, too quick and too exciting. Mbroh has track star type speed and was Heritage Hall's most consistent producer against Roland. Is a blur in transition, and importantly is developing quite the chemistry with fellow junior Bradshaw. Served up multiple oops to him, and is becoming a good decision making in transition. In the halfcourt, his quickness shines. Either navigating to the rim or stopping on a dime for 15-18 foot mid-range jumpers. In big games like this, and more during the Chargers' playoff run the scout will clearly be to swarm Mbroh. Considering the shooters often on the court around him, if he improves as a passer he should be serving up plenty of dimes. And wins for The Hall.

What impressed about Knight is even though it wasn't his best shooting performance, he kept competing. Knows how to be an irritant on the ball. Raced back to save two points with a transition steal that prevented a layup. Even ran down long offensive rebounds and crashes hard on the weakside glass. Did hit back to back threes in a key third quarter stretch which extended the Rangers' lead. There will be better shooting days for Knight in Roland's quest for Gold. But it's clear that even when his shot isn't falling, he'll find a way to make his mark.

Smart guard, who knows how to pick his spots to make his mark. Twice he crashed down and forced big steals with quick hands as a helpside defender. Including a crucial one late in the fourth. Had a couple good takes to the rim, while also handing out six assists. Is the type of steely guard, who's impact goes beyond the box score.

Based on this and the opening round of the Class 5A State Tournament last year, Nash might have the big game gene. Plays fearless as a shooter. Displayed college range with one above the break make. Then another time, pumped fake, let a defender fly by and smoothly drained it. Good footwork and patience as a driver, or pivoting into mid-range jumpers. Has a steely confidence to his game, that shows up when the stakes are high. Willing to defend and pressure as well.

If Southmoore is to make a run to shake up Class 6A during the playoffs, Gregory will have to be a key figure. There were promising signs, especially as a creator. Drives off the baseline and can slip passes to teammates at the rim, or find open shooters. Had another good moment when he caught a pass while rolling, the quickly found an open teammate at the rim. Is a good athlete, and has flashes of playing to that athleticism. In the game against Union, he came close on a putback dunk attempt. But against Lawton Eisenhower, he needed to be stronger when rebounding the ball. The pieces are there for Gregory to step up and be a down the stretch difference maker, it's just up him to turn the light on.
