Night three of our Prep Hoops Indiana trip through The Region took us to the historic Wolves Den at Michigan City High School. We had this one circled on our calendar as a chance to watch Michigan City take on undefeated Portage High School. The game certainly lived up to the hype. Here are some of the top prospects to know from this matchup.

Brown set the tone for Portage on Friday night. The 5'10" junior guard connected on three three-point shots in the first quarter and went on to make four triples for 12 points. He displayed a quick release and sound footwork from beyond the arc.

When Michigan City leaned on their size advantage they made a couple of big comebacks. Dobre was a big part of both late runs as he scored consistently around the basket and cleaned the glass on both ends of the floor. The 6'7" unsigned senior center finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead Michigan City in the 67-56 loss to Portage.

It was a bit of a slow start for the younger Kobe brother, but he came up big down the stretch as Michigan City made their run and helped secure Portage's 67-56 win. The 6'2" left-handed sophomore guard hit some tough pull-up jump shots off of the dribble and showcased some athleticism as a finisher at the rim. He had 10 points and 6 rebounds for the Indians as they moved to 16-0 on the season.

This talented junior guard has played his way into Indiana Junior All-Star contention by averaging over 20 points per game for one of the few remaining undefeated teams in the state. Kobe, a 6'1" junior guard, came on strong in the second half finishing with 19 points to help lead Portage to a 67-56 victory over Michigan City. The Indians are now 16-0 on the season.

Length, explosiveness, and quickness with the ball in his hands. Those are some of the initial descriptions that come to mind when watching this talented junior guard play. Moran III is part of a dynamic Portage backcourt and helped move the Indians to 16-0 with a 67-56 win over Michigan City on Friday night. He scored 12 points in the game.

This freshman came off of the bench for the Wolves and was a big reason why they led at the end of the first quarter. Upshaw Jr. drilled a couple of deep three-point shots and scored 8 points in the first quarter to give Michigan City a big boost off of the bench. He continues to prove himself as one of the best freshman guards in northern Indiana.

Just like Dobre, Van Buren was a huge part of Michigan City's comebacks in the third and fourth quarters. His size and physicality around the basket gave Portage some problems. The 6'4" senior forward finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals in the Wolves' 67-56 loss to Portage.
