After falling behind by 20 points in the first half, CATS Acadeny had a furious second half comeback tbat pushed the game to overtime. Valters ended up leading his team in scoring with an efficient game from across the board. Valters had a shot in the paint, a couple 3-pointers and made 6/8 free throws. That level of scoring balance allows you to have a quietly explosive scoring output in a tight contest. A surefire Division I target, Valters should see his recruitment spike this summer.

Wyoming stays on a tear as Evans continued his impressive season with 15 points in the win. Knocking down two corner 3-pointers, Evans is a shooter you can't lose track of in the half-court. Also showing his ability to attack closeouts with a runner off the glass and an and-1 finish, Evans being able to score when he's run off the line will be crucial at the college level. Expect to hear a lot more about Wyoming heading into the playoff push.

Huber Height Wayne has had another really solid season and their senior core has helped them be near the top of the GWOC standings. Despite the loss on Saturday, this is one of the best teams in the greater Dayton area and Thompson impressed as a utility guard. With a strong frame, Thompson led his team in rebounds with five. Able to make the extra pass on the perimeter, Thompson usually gets the ball to open shooters. With his strong frame, Thompson had a couple power finishes in the paint as well.

Lima Senior continues to make a statement with their impressive play and Stearns has been the perfect addition to their team. Bringing size and physicality to their team, Stearns plays with an edge on the court. With a couple powerful dunks and blocked shots, Stearns lets everybody know about his dominance in the paint. One of the top forwards in the 2028 class in Ohio, expect to hear a lot more about Stearns in the coming years.

Christ School stepped up to the challenge of facing Southeastern Prep on short notice. Goodlow knocked down three 3-pointers in just 15 minutes of action, most importantly playing fearless against a team full of high major athletes. Being able to make quick and confident decisions against a team with the size and length of Southeastern Prep is very impressive and Christ School only had five turnovers, a key reason why they were able to hang around for the whole game.

One of the bigger stock risers in the 2027 class this winter, Sam continues to produce at a high level for one of the top teams in southwest Ohio. An impressive perimeter shot-maker, Sam is money with his feet set. With a strong frame, Sam's physicality is crucial when he defends some of the top scoring options on the other team. Maybe his best play of the day was a hook pass to the corner for an open 3-point attempt. Due for a bump up in our next rankings update, Sam's production is standing out for a young, but talented, Centerville squad.
