Adkinson Turns It Up in Second Half

Webster Groves star junior [player_tooltip player_id='2334870' first='Scottie' last='Adkinson'] found his groove in the second half where he scored 15 of his game high 19 points. The Mizzou commit is the top junior in the state of Missouri. In the first half he still impacted the game as he was a monster on the boards from his lead guard spot and pushed the pace. His ability as a floor general continues to impress me as he has made major strides since the summer with his vision and feel hitting guys off live dribbles along with the drive and kick game. In the second half he started hunting his shot more getting to the line, jump stop/floater, shake off the bounce, layup on baseline out of bounds, and a tough three. He went for 19 points.

Williams and Tabash Bring Wing Scoring for Webster Groves

Big game for Webster Groves senior [player_tooltip player_id='1651977' first='Quincy' last='Williams'] who was quiet at Highland a week ago, but erupted in this game for 15 points. The two guard poured in threes both off the catch and pulling up. When they closed out hard on him he attacked getting to the rim. Also was active on the defensive end. [player_tooltip player_id='2509009' first='Jackson' last='Tabash'] lit up the nets at Highland and had a few more in his bag for this game as the junior nailed three of them for 13 points. [player_tooltip player_id='2569194' first='Bryce' last='Millien'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2339267' first='Jayden' last='Woods'] each had 5 points.

Meyers Displays Versatile Skilled Game

Bright spot for Marist was the play of top 20 junior [player_tooltip player_id='2125658' first='Kendall' last='Meyers'] who kept them in the game in the first half with his perimeter shooting. The thick bodied face up four has a high skill level being able to knock down spot up threes at a good clip as he did in this game. Got on the offensive glass a couple times and had a nice dime on a spin. Nimble footwork around the hoop for his size notching 16 points. [player_tooltip player_id='1552445' first='Charles' last='Barnes Jr'] had his usual game with 12 points showcasing his length, transition scoring, and quickness around the basket. Good rebounder. NC State football commit [player_tooltip player_id='1845350' first='Stephen' last='Brown'] was active on the glass throughout the night and had multiple steals. Only scored 6 points.

Lawlor Steps Up for Marist

[player_tooltip player_id='2832926' first='Ryan' last='Lawlor'] made an impression for Marist. The 6'2” senior two guard is looked at as a shooter and he did nail one early, but showed he has more to his game. Cut hard off the ball and was rewarded with several baskets. Also scored multiple times off steals notching 14 points.
