Standing at just under 7 feet tall the unsigned senior from Northern Nash HS has been on a defensive tear over the last few weeks. In his first showing at the Montrezl Harrell Hoopfest, he finished with 13 blocks vs Eastern Wayne, then followed it up with an even more impressive 17 blocks vs Tarboro in a tournament championship game. Defensively he's one of the top bigs in the state and one for colleges to check in on in the near future.

The 6'5 wing has been a part of two consecutive trips to the state championship the last two seasons falling both times to North Meck. This season, he looks like a man on a mission, more than doubling his scoring from 12.8 to 26.9 points per game while also increasing his overall production: from 5.9 to 9.4 rebounds and from 1.6 to .8 assists. Always known for his shooting ability, he appears to have added some muscle and athleticism, making him a more complete player. He picks his spots well and rarely takes a bad shot.

The current leading scorer in the state resides in the East and he was just named all tournament at the Terry Walls Holiday Invitational after averaging 28 points 3 rebounds and 8 assists during the event.

He's lightning quick with the ball in his hands and a threat to score once he crosses the half court line, he's improved as a passer and works hard on the defensive end, a college guy to track going forward.

Another member of the Terry Walls All Tournament team is averaging a solid 31 points 7 rebounds and over 4 assists and steals per game. He's one of the more exciting kids in the region, standing around 6'2 with bounce, creative handle, and the ability to get guys involved or score when needed. Thomas is a threat to get a double double any given night and always does the little things to help give his team a chance at the win.

A 910 forward prospect who has doubled his scoring output while also adding 5 rebounds per game to his totals from last season is one of the more sought after guys in the region. Lanky built with a 6'6 frame he does a little of everything for his Union Pines squad. He can put it on the floor and create on his own or rip and run rebounds to help initiate some offense, along with his evolving perimeter jumper you have a solid college prospect to track.

Southern Durham is on track to make a solid run at another state championship appearance after losing in the title game last year. On their roster hides one of the most intriguing prospects in NC, [player_tooltip player_id='2099601' first='Aden' last='Jeffries'] stands around 6'8 with one of the cleanest jumpers in the state. He's up to 48 percent from three on the season and once you add in his athletic ability and defensive instincts (13 blocks so far) he has the look of a four year guy.

Washington is coming off an impressive performance at the John Wall Holiday Invitational where they defeated Reidsville and ended what was a 63 game win streak in the process. They were led by newcomer [player_tooltip player_id='1411219' first='Shimere' last='Garris'] who is having a really good senior season, he's yet to have a game where he didn't score in double digits and is one of the leading scorers in NC. He scores it in a variety of ways that include step backs, pull ups, and using his strong frame around the rim, he's just heard from some four year coaches and will be one to track in the new year.
