Kellum is another guy that has been a consistent producer and winner in North Carolina for the entirety of his high school career at New Hanover. With his team sitting at 14-5 and 6-1 in conference play, Brown is truly leading the charge. He’s averaging 22.2 Points, 8.6 Rebounds, 2.2 Assists, 2.4 Steals, and 0.5 blocks on the season. He’s doing it all on 52/36/70 splits, showcasing how he can be truly efficient on a high volume. Brown possesses the ability to make special plays that swing the momentum for his team while having a true 94 foot presence the entire time he’s in the game. Brown is a disruptive on ball defender that uses his physical gifts and tenacity to create havoc for the opposition. He’s becoming a truly complete offensive weapon that is just progressing in every area at a really nice rate. I fully expect Brown to continue to establish himself as one of NC’s top available gems as New Hanover looks to embark on another deep playoff run.

The 6’5 wing has been a part of two consecutive trips to the state championship the last two seasons falling both times to North Meck. This season, he looks like a man on a mission, more than doubling his scoring from 12.8 to 26.9 points per game while also increasing his overall production: from 5.9 to 9.4 rebounds and from 1.6 to .8 assists. Always known for his shooting ability, he appears to have added some muscle and athleticism, making him a more complete player. He picks his spots well and rarely takes a bad shot.

Brown was one of the most confident scorers in the gym. The 6’5 guard let it fly whenever defenders gave him space and punished closeouts with his sneaky bounce around the rim. Brown put points up in a hurry and backed it up with a 27-point performance on Day 1, earning Player of the Game honors and establishing himself as a true scoring threat.
