The change in the momentum of the state semifinal game happened when he began to make plays on the defensive side of the court. His shot-blocking ability is one of the main ways he impacts games and the Knights will need him to have a big impact on the defensive end to take home the win.

In what was a true slug fest of a game, you need your anchor to do just that, hold it down, and that is exactly what Chris Silver Chris Silver 6'9" | C Northern Nash | 2026 State NC did for Northern Nash in their 50-39 win over E.E. Smith in the 6A East Final. Silver finished with 2 Points, 7 Rebounds, 2 Assists, and 6 Blocks in the win. Silver helped hold E.E. Smith to under 30% from the floor as a team with their inability to score on the inside essentially at all. Silver avoided foul trouble and was able to play 25 minutes, he helped make plays with his passing offensively and late in the game he truly shut the door. Silver and Northern Nash forced E.E. Smith into a 4th quarter where they shot just 3-21 from the floor. Silver is definitely still raw in a lot of areas but is a genuinely dynamic shot blocker and it was on full display to help Northern Nash secure a spot in the 6A state championship vs Kings Mountain.

Silver is just too strong of an interior presence to have outside of the top 50 especially when you look at the undeniable production he’s brought to the table for Northern Nash this season. Silver has made the rise from 149 all the way up to 45 with what he’s done this season. A lot of what he’s done is turn that potential into more consistent production while still showing room to grow in his overall game. Silver is averaging 7.3 Points, 8.8 Rebounds, and 6.9 Blocks per game. He’s a shot blocking specialist with the ability to contribute in other areas at both ends of the floor. Despite being relatively limited offensively, there’s no doubt that he’s improved greatly with his ability to catch and finish around the rim, he should maintain that progression through his next level career. He’s one of the state’s best shot blockers and proved he can be a valuable two way piece on a winning team as Northern Nash is 20-3 on the season with a big playoff run hopefully getting started for them tonight.

Standing at just under 7 feet tall the unsigned senior from Northern Nash HS has been on a defensive tear over the last few weeks. In his first showing at the Montrezl Harrell Hoopfest, he finished with 13 blocks vs Eastern Wayne, then followed it up with an even more impressive 17 blocks vs Tarboro in a tournament championship game. Defensively he’s one of the top bigs in the state and one for colleges to check in on in the near future.

Silver is leading North Carolina in blocks per game at 6.9 and he has a true calling card for anchoring a defense and protecting the rim. With Northern Nash sitting at 16-1 on the year there’s no doubt that Silver is incredibly integral to the team’s overall success. Silver has steadily improved as a prospect over the course of his career. He’s averaging 7.3 Points, 9.0 Rebounds, and 6.9 Blocks. He’s further ahead on the defensive side of the ball right now but his instincts, understanding of responsibilities, and his physical gifts make him a game breaking defensive player. The amount of offense he provides by blocking shots and allowing his talented teammates to run out in transition is super valuable to this team. Silver is proving to be a viable late 2026 gem in NC’s class.

Silver was a really strong two way presence for Northern Nash in their win over Riverside on Saturday afternoon. Silver has a great blend of outside touch with rim protection while showing real progression in the other areas of his game. His ability to get out and guard perimeter guys has improved, if he gets beat, he’s able to recover and alter the shot. As a low post scorer, his hands look good and he looks decisive around the rim. Silver is a potential gem in NC’s 2026 class. His name will undoubtedly continue to get out there as Northern Nash looks poised for a strong playoff run with Silver as the centerpiece of it all.

Standing nearly 7 feet tall with an above 7 foot wingspan, the forward out of Northern Nash High School has all the tools necessary to be a solid college prospect. In high school, he played with other very talented forwards which allowed him to thrive defensively with two blocks per game, but he has a nice touch that can stretch out to the perimeter as well. Playing on the UAA circuit should help get some eyes on this underrated prospect.
