With a month left in their Freshman seasons, several players have emerged in this 2029 class over the last two months. On top of that, the class has a ton of depth across all positions. Especially in the back court. Here's a look at the updated top 5 in this class.

Mason is a potential top 25 prospect in America in the 2029 class, in my opinion. An excellent shot blocker whose offensive game continues to improve, Grivna is likely not done growing. With his fluid athleticism and the way he is consistently improving, Mason could be the top player in this class for a long time.

Ty has a high skill level already and is only going to keep getting better as he gets older. Capable of operating as a playmaker with the ball in his hands, Bryant is a mismatch for most opponents because he can play any position on the court. Also a good shot blocker, Ty is a high ceiling, low floor prospect.

Davis is the best player in the state who never gets mentioned with the rest of the best. A long and athletic wing who can operate in the high post as a facilitator or is comfortable scoring on the block. He's also shooting 37% from three while averaging 14 points and 8 rebounds for the Purples.

CJ is a volume scorer who excels at attacking the rim and finishing. Sweeney is a capable three point shooter as well but tends to do a lot of damage off the bounce. It's a little surprising that CJ doesn't live at the free throw line considering how well he gets into the paint. Long term, Sweeney has the potential to be the best point guard in this class and this class is LOADED with point guards.

Moving into the top 5, Owens is in the midst of a really strong season for a really good Ashland team. Alijah consistently plays above the rim on offense. He has a quick first step and is excellent at getting into the paint. Once he's in there, Owens is a good finisher and above average passer who keeps getting better and better. Long term, number 5 may be too low for him.
