He is averaging over 24 points per game while grabbing nearly eight rebounds a contest. His standout performances include 35 points and 11 rebounds with 3 assists in a thrilling 99–94 win over Bemidji, 22 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, and a block in an 81–59 victory against Brainerd, and 26 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in an 84–74 win over South St. Paul. Sells' scoring, rebounding, and all-around play have made him a dominant force and a key reason for Apollo's early-season success.

As the team's floor general, he does whatever is needed to secure a win - whether it's grabbing rebounds, dishing out assists, or guarding the opponent's best player.
