McDonald has begun the season as arguably the most impactful freshman in the conference. He's providing balance for South that they desperately need. He's pushing pace, defending aggressively, and turning guards over. His 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 3 steals per game show how complete he's been. His work defensively has separated him from the pack and has allowed South to be multidimensional. The 13-point opener vs. North set the tone, and his poise stands out. He affects the game in multiple ways and looks like a rising underclassman to track closely.

Bahati has stepped into varsity and immediately boosted Northfield's attack as a welcome sign for his new team. He's a downhill scorer who fits perfectly as one of the formidable trios. What also stands out is his efficiency. His 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals average highlights his value, and the 18-5-3 performance in a breakout game showcases his ceiling. He's helping an undefeated team stay rolling and has quickly become a real piece to the puzzle as his confidence continues to grow. Keep an eye out for Bahati.

Marshall is getting valuable minutes and playing beyond his years for East. He rebounds, screens, rolls, and finishes with soft touch, plus he's stretching the floor by hitting a three in every game. To begin the season, he's averaging 6.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2 steals as a freshman. He's owning his role as the middle anchor, and East is benefiting from it. The speed and physicality of varsity hasn't rattled him at all, and he's positioning himself as one of the more promising young bigs in the conference. Great start to his HS career for Marshall.

Richardson continues trending upward as a sophomore who brings size, activity, and shot creation. His footwork and handle open scoring windows, and his constant movement keeps defenses honest. He's averaging two steals a game, which is also helping on the defensive end as a disruptor. His minutes will increase as he keeps producing, and he's already showing signs of being part of their long-term core with a strong start to his second varsity season. He has to continue chipping in when he can and staying ready for the moment.

Jefferson is a young prospect for East who is being productive as the game continues to slow down for him. He's finding scoring pockets, running the floor and showing real feel in transition. His understanding of his role stands out as he's rotating the ball, playing off the catch and handling when needed. With growing confidence and steady minutes, he's positioning himself as an underclassman who will keep climbing and becoming a meaningful part of the rotation and we've seen flashes.
