The last two games of the day proved to be some of the most exciting, and the event concluded with the biggest matchup along with the biggest performance of the day. Richwood vs. Union featured one of the top players in the 2026 class facing one of the fastest-rising stars in the 2027 class, and the final game of the day was a rematch of a highly contested matchup from just a few months earlier in the summer. Here are some of the highlights from the last two games.

Turpin put on the performance of the day by scoring 41 points against one of the toughest teams in the state. His showing was epic, and everyone in the gym witnessed an absolute spectacle that will be talked about for years to come. Turpin has long been viewed as an intriguing talent, and on this day, all the hard work, and every question I previously had, was answered.

His ability to score is top tier, and with this performance, he has to be considered one of the purest scorers in the state. He hit the three ball, knocked down mid-range shots, finished difficult attempts at the rim, and went 14-for-16 from the free-throw line. He did it all with a stoic, poker-faced composure that showed he is one of the best.

Turpin is visibly leaner, quicker, and his on-court leadership stood out as well. His development has truly come full circle. His night ended with an offer to play college basketball at the next level. The man of the hour, and the player to watch is Mr. Turpin, Louisiana's own baby-faced assassin.

Lane has returned for his senior season and is already in mid-season form. The championship MVP is clearly an elite player with a path to the next level. He has one of the purest shots in the state and the length to give opponents trouble trying to contain him off the ball. He stays active, constantly moving to make something happen, and he is elite when pulling up and finishing at the rim.

Lane is an energy player. One bucket can completely shift the momentum. He is a high flyer with a coachable and controlled demeanor, always calculated in how he plays. He will be a great addition to any team. His head-to-head matchup against Union resulted in a win, and he is poised to lead this talented Richwood squad to many victories and another potential Top-28 appearance.

Gipson is another fast-rising name in the state, and his 20-point performance was just a sign of things to come. He is a legit 6'4" point guard with all the skills needed for next-level play. From a skill perspective, he is the complete package. He continues to adjust to the physical Louisiana style of play and its fast pace, but with each game he looks more and more comfortable.

He can match skill with any player in the state and has a natural flair that stands out. He is a servant-style player who resists the urge to dominate the scoring load, choosing instead to play the long game by working his teammates into scoring positions. In the long run, this will pay off and shows that he doesn't just want to score. He wants to win, and he prefers to do it as a key piece rather than the dominant piece.

He plays the right way, and coaches will line up for his services at the next level.

Parker is one of the players that bring fans to the gym. He is electric on or off the ball and each season Parker improves on the details of the game. He is known to be a scorer, but his 19/10/10 stat line is an indicator of the growth. The details of the game require good guards to score, facilitate, rebound and defend. He does each of those at a high level, but continues to work to improve in each area. Bigger, stronger and most of all smarter, he is built to carry the load through wins and losses.

Turner turned in a 15 point performance and showcased his all around game in a tough loss. Turner has all the tools required for next level success, and he is actively seeking more opportunities to showcase his improved skill set. Turner shot the three ball, hit a couple mid range shots, and finished at the rim with an effortless dunk. When he is aggressive he can score the ball, and on the defensive side of the ball he is active and intimidating. Huntington has an aggressive schedule and Turner could be the X factor for key match ups.
