Turner is having another stellar season and his efforts have contributed to Huntington being ranked as a Top 10 team in the state. His 12 points was vital in a big day two win of the invitational. Turner is a top player in the state with tons of upside and his ceiling is yet to be determined. Lock him in as a glue guy that does all the right things consistently, but when he is aggressive, he can score the ball as well.

Turner turned in a 15 point performance and showcased his all around game in a tough loss. Turner has all the tools required for next level success, and he is actively seeking more opportunities to showcase his improved skill set. Turner shot the three ball, hit a couple mid range shots, and finished at the rim with an effortless dunk. When he is aggressive he can score the ball, and on the defensive side of the ball he is active and intimidating. Huntington has an aggressive schedule and Turner could be the X factor for key match ups.

Turner had a chance to show his offensive ability in the second half of the Doc Edwards championship loss. His ability to attack and finish at the rim was on full display. Turner finished despite being challenged by Hudson at the rim. He also showed the ability to shoot over shot blocking height. Turner also showed an ability to spot up from three as well. His second half may spark him being another scorer in the Raider attack going forward the rest of the season.

Turner has a skill set that is ever-evolving. He is the prototype of a two-way player. Austin can defend multiple players using his height and length. He has active hands and plays passing lanes extremely well. Offensively, he can score from the perimeter and the paint. Turner is a player who can take over games on either end of the floor. He has a very high ceiling.

Turner has the capability and skill set to be a top five player in this class. He is like a Swiss Army knife on the floor. Austin plays both ends with high energy and athleticism. He has the talent to defend a forward in the paint and switch out to a small guard. On offense, he can lead the break, run a half court set, or run off screens and spot up. Turner is multi-talented and has a high stock ceiling.

Having grown a few inches, combined with his enhanced skill set, it’s only a matter of time before his current ranking of #64 gets a serious boost. Austin is a relentless slasher with a smooth handle and an obvious desire to put the ball in the hoop. He thrives in one-on-one situations, showcasing his ability to break down defenders, but he plays with a team-first mentality, never forcing bad shots.

When attacking the rim, Austin is fearless, often finishing with powerful dunks whenever he has a lane. His time spent in the gym is evident—his polished footwork, ball-handling, and shooting touch were all on full display. This kid is a winner through and through, and his upcoming sophomore season at Huntington is bound to be a breakout year. With more playing time on a young, talented roster, Austin is poised to make an even bigger impact, solidifying himself as a key piece to Huntington’s success.
