Every now and then, a player comes along who just has a special knack for something. For Turpin, that something is scoring. He can put up numbers in bunches and does it in the simplest, most efficient ways possible. He is the most dangerous man in their Division, and coaches will be up late trying to solve the Turpin mystery. If you run him off the three-point line, he’ll get to the mid-range. If the mid-range is taken away, he will finish at the rim. He is an ambidextrous nightmare who plays with a chip on his shoulder. From here on out, know that a 30-point game is always on the table.

Turpin is the talk of North Louisiana and if you have not seen the kid play, grab a schedule and get some popcorn. His game is box office. There is no offensive comparison to Turpin right now. His pace is something that just can’t be explained. The kid is nice with the ball and he is a master facilitator. He has point guard skills and delivers impressive passes in the creases of the defense. He is also an elite scorer from anywhere on the court. I was on hand for a 41 point performance and now watched a 38 point scoring spree, and both games resulted in wins. It is Turpin time, and he is the guy that will lead Wossman right back down south for another title opportunity.

Turpin put on the performance of the day by scoring 41 points against one of the toughest teams in the state. His showing was epic, and everyone in the gym witnessed an absolute spectacle that will be talked about for years to come. Turpin has long been viewed as an intriguing talent, and on this day, all the hard work, and every question I previously had, was answered.
His ability to score is top tier, and with this performance, he has to be considered one of the purest scorers in the state. He hit the three ball, knocked down mid-range shots, finished difficult attempts at the rim, and went 14-for-16 from the free-throw line. He did it all with a stoic, poker-faced composure that showed he is one of the best.
Turpin is visibly leaner, quicker, and his on-court leadership stood out as well. His development has truly come full circle. His night ended with an offer to play college basketball at the next level. The man of the hour, and the player to watch is Mr. Turpin, Louisiana’s own baby-faced assassin.

Turpin is back and better than ever. A true bucket-getter, he scores in a variety of ways, making him a tough matchup for any defender. His shooting ability stands out, particularly his smooth three-point stroke. But it’s his shot creation that’s truly impressive. He’ll lull defenders to sleep, making them think he’s driving, then effortlessly pull up for a long jumper. He plays with a noticeable chip on his shoulder, adding to his already evident toughness. He’s a tough, physical player who can also shoot, a valuable combination in today’s game. Keep an eye on Turpin this season.
