I was really impressed by Scales during the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic as he pushed La Salle to a key early season win. The improved confidence with the ball in his hands and quickly scoring with his back to the basket. Scales is shooting over 80% from the field through three games and La Salle is 3-0. With plenty of other marquee games on their schedule, La Salle will have plenty more opportunities to catch the attention of Cincinnati's basketball scene.

A prospect who screams upside, the pieces are starting to click for Chenault who recently announced he'd be playing for Wildcat Select this summer on the 3SSB circuit. I put Toledo St Francis at second in my preseason Division II rankings and they've started the season strong. Expect Chenault to continue to gain confidence throughout the season and build some momentum heading into a crucial final season of grassroots basketball for him.

Centennial is a team on the rise in the Columbus City League and Bonner is one of their marquee prospects to watch. The wing forward caught fire in an early season win over Columbus Academy scoring 27 points. Bonner's perimeter growth is noticeable and he's showing counters off the dribble. Excited to see how the Columbus City League plays out as there's a handful of talented teams that will fight for the city league title.

Kolar is a wing forward who can space the floor as the lefty is known as a knockdown shooter. Scoring 11 points in a win over Grove City on Friday, Kolar is showing some consistent production at the varsity level for a New Albany team that will contend for a regional title in Division II this season. Also getting the opportunity to play with the ball in his hands during the Midwest fall league, it's been nice to get more familiar with his game the past few months and watch him grow. A name I'll be tracking for the next 2 seasons with New Albany.
