Has done a great job early in the year of defending different spots on the floor, whether it's matching up with wings or taking on posts. Even when he was outmatched strength-wise, he did a great job moving his feet, forcing tough shots, and using his length to stay straight up. Has also shown his impact by the rim with some chase-down blocks, big rebounds, and the ability to work to the line. Been working off the bounce on the offensive end a lot more too, and has been able to attack the paint from different spots.

Walls has done a nice job controlling tempo, keeping separation from defenders with change of speeds down the court and along the perimeter, and some well-timed bumps inside to create space around the paint. He's a guy who has shown he can get penetration pretty regularly and has the finishing and passing ability to be a high-impact playmaker off his paint touches. Central Valley has racked up some big wins early in the year, and Walls has been a big factor so far.

Emil is in the midst of a breakout season, and his improvements from last season have shown up with some big games so far. He's a key scorer and playmaker for the Rams, and a guy who can run actions from different spots on the floor. In their game against Highline, Emil showed poise through lots of contact on drives to the rim, was both a playmaker and scorer from sets at the high post, and showed off some soft touch both at the foul line and from 3-point range.

The athletic wing has taken a big step forward this season with his outside shooting. He already brings a ton of athleticism, downhill ability, and his length can help him make plays defensively, but he has been one of Renton's more consistent threats from long-range eary on. This has forced harder closeouts and helped open up more things up to the hoop. He's a big reason why Renton has been so competitive through this part of the season.

Bail had a great start to the season in a win over Todd Beamer, scoring 21 points and knocking in six 3-pointers. The majority of his threes came off the catch, and a few came in really clutch moments, but aside from just impressing with his long-range shooting, Bail also continued to impress with his improved IQ. He made a few really quality cuts when being overplayed, and also did a great job slowing down Beamer's backcourt pressure by taking retreat dribbles to get space and the ability to see the floor. He's taken a big leap forward for a Kentwood team sitting at 7-1.

Larson is a strong slashing/defending wing, but he's started to add to his game, especially offensively, as he's been thrust into a larger role this season. He plays with good balance while attacking the hoop, finishes strong, and can mix in some pretty athletic finishes around defenders too. But his biggest areas of growth have been from behind the arc and working off the dribble. He's been relied on to create a lot more this winter and has been up for the task in his junior season.
