Ramsey’s Monday and Tuesday Night Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are just two days into the week and our Prep Hoops Indiana team has already covered four games with boots on the ground. Personally, my travels took me to Kipp Indy Legacy versus Christel House on Monday night followed by Decatur Central versus Indianapolis Lutheran on Tuesday evening. Baker is one of three junior guards that turned in an impressive performance in Tuesday night's 77-50 win over Indianapolis Lutheran. The 5'10" guard really turned it on in the fourth quarter as the Hawks pulled away. He scored 10 of his 17 points in the final period. Brigham Jr. essentially matched his early season average on Monday night pouring in 29 points to go with 7 rebounds as he led Christel House to a 68-55 win over Kipp Indy Legacy. His physical strength in the backcourt is impressive as is his ability to consistently create separation off of the bounce. The 5'11" senior guard finished with 16 points scoring via a variety of tough layups, floaters, and pull-up jump shots. He was an impressive slasher, cutter, and right hand driver that finished at the rim consistently. We have long known that he possesses some of the best athletic and physical tools in the class. However, on Tuesday night, he showed off a more well-rounded and expanded offensive game than we have seen previously. He hit multiple mid-range jump shots including some tough turnaround jump shots out of the mid-post. Norton is super bouncy as proven by multiple dunks and blocked shots on Tuesday night. However, he is also a beast on the boards and is very willing to excel in his role. His motor really stood out. Norton went on to finish with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocked shots for Decatur Central. That was certainly the case once again on Monday night while seeing him in a high school setting. Robinson was hot out of the gate and went on to lead Kipp Indy Legacy with 19 points in a 68-55 loss to Christel House. The versatile 6'4" wing/forward posted a double-double of 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists on Tuesday night as the Hawks dominated Indianapolis Lutheran 77-50. Zapata has impressive athleticism and strength to match his inside-out game.
