The 6'5 sophomore has taken on a heavy offensive load and hasn't shied away from it. He's active without the ball, attacks off the catch, and shows comfort scoring through contact. He's coming off a 20-point outing and has been proving he can shoulder pressure and still produce. The season may not be going like the team wants right now, but the confidence is rising, and he's making a name for himself. He's on our radar after a great start.

We got to see Fossil Ridge this past week, and a name that stood out to us was Peterson. Peterson doesn't need volume to make an impact, and that's what separates him. He's on a roster with size and interior options and finds ways to fill the gaps. He also stood out for checking off a ton of boxes. He was defending, spacing, cutting, and making smart reads. Against Chaparral, he knocked down shots, guarded multiple positions, and stayed ready when his number was called. His value shows in the margins, and Fossil Ridge leans on him to keep things connected. True glue-guy energy and a clear X-factor.

McClelland is another prospect that we saw play this week. What stands out for him as how he gives Rocky Mountain balance, and that's not easy on a team that wants to play fast. He can stretch the floor, rebound his position, and slide into a defensive role without disrupting flow. At the Chaparral/T-Ridge tourney, he showed willingness to do the little things—rotate, defend, cut. The next step is more defensive assertiveness, because the tools are there. Still, he's been steady and reliable early on and a name to know moving forward.

Nestbitt was one of the more pleasant surprises we saw this weekend. He impacts the game based on what's needed. If it's playmaking one game, he provides that; if it's a person that needs to go down and bang with the bigs, he rebounds with them. Sometimes the game will ask for scoring, and I am confident in his ability to provide. He had himself a huge performance when he pulled off a 10-assist game against Smoky Hill, which highlighted his feel and decision-making. In the next game, his work on the glass versus Eaglecrest showed versatility. He's comfortable adapting roles and doesn't force it. That flexibility makes him Rocky's swing piece and a true X-factor moving forward.

Brewster's numbers don't fully capture his impact. He seems to communicate defensively; he rebounds in bunches and keeps the offense functional even when shots aren't falling, all due to his ability to keep moving. The jumper hasn't clicked yet, but his effort and decision-making haven't wavered. He plays within himself, runs sets, and stays aggressive defensively. That reliability matters for a young group trying to find its way. Brewster is a prospect who helps teams stay competitive regardless of the box score.
