Juniors Making Impact Early in Season on Film

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your annual subscription***</em></a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We have seen a ton of high school basketball games this season!&nbsp; Our staff also is trying to find new film on prospects every day!&nbsp; Here are some 2027 prospects that caught our attention!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2469073' first='Max' last='Beard'] (Woodstock – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Beard is a two guard that is tracking as one of the best players in Woodstock history.&nbsp; Gets elevation off the floor on jump shot from beyond the arc where he shoots it very well running into them, off the catch, or jab steps into long balls.&nbsp; Can score on back cuts behind the defense for dunks and layups.&nbsp; Solid wing rebounder.&nbsp; Cuts passing lanes turning them into points on the other end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2390275' first='Carson' last='Miller'] (Plainfield North – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Plainfield North small forward opened up the season with a strong showing at the St. Charles East Thanksgiving Tournament.&nbsp; Clean looking shot from beyond the arc where he knocks down threes at a high clip.&nbsp; Moves well without the ball to get open. Can attack a close out when defenders fly at him.&nbsp; Shows good basketball awareness on both ends.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2455389' first='Arthur' last='Abbey'] (Rock Island – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Abbey is at a new school, but he is still bringing it!&nbsp; The new Rock Island guard is a quality spot up shooter that knocks them down spotting up.&nbsp; Uses his quickness off the bounce and crafty finishing in the lane.&nbsp; Likes to get others involved with passing including lob passes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125626' first='Ethan' last='Richardson'] (Woodstock North – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Woodstock North 6'4” guard has a wiry frame.&nbsp; Good handles to get his shot off in one on one situations.&nbsp; Sound shot maker from three along with in the mid-range.&nbsp; Likes the step back shot!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2349619' first='Brady' last='Harris'] (Francis Parker – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harris is a 5'10” point guard who is filling it up as a junior.&nbsp; We broke down the tape from one game where he got 30+ displaying his ability to score from inside and out.&nbsp; Clean looking shot from three, slick handles winning off the bounce for array of finishes in the lane, and has good vision setting others up.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2779481' first='Warren' last='Schweitzer'] (Rochelle Zelle – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This 6'7” 235 pound big man had some buzz coming out of the summer.&nbsp; He is also a top tight end prospect for football that can really hoop too.&nbsp; Strong bodied big man that anchors down low and has excellent footwork.&nbsp; Rebounds well in his area.&nbsp; Go to hook shot.&nbsp; Walls up inside on the defensive end making it tough for opponents to score.&nbsp; Handles it from the mid-post with a couple dribbles.&nbsp; Hits the offensive glass for second chance points.&nbsp; Like how he backs his way in with his back to the basket before finishing.&nbsp; Understands angles and seals well on the block.&nbsp; Touch around the basket.&nbsp; Likes to utilize his spin move on drives.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2403999' first='Krystian' last='Bogacz'] (Schaumburg Christian – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'1” junior from Schaumburg Christian is a crisp ball handler that is outstanding with quick crossovers getting in the paint for a deep bag of soft touch finishes and acrobatic layups.&nbsp; Uses positioning and strength converting through defenders on the interior.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2439344' first='Chas' last='Ontiveros'] (Morton – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The two guard has solid length which he uses to be disruptive on the defensive end.&nbsp; Anticipates passes almost like a defensive back closing on the ball to make the play.&nbsp; Slashes to the rim and creates space to get his shot off around the hoop with spins and bumps.&nbsp; Scrappy rebounder.&nbsp; Flashes as a spot up shooter.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125668' first='Nedas' last='Venckus'] (Lockport – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Venckus is averaging 19 points per game early in the season from his two guard spot.&nbsp; Fun player to watch that is creative with the ball in his hands.&nbsp; Quick release and elevation on his three point shot.&nbsp; Plays with a lot of swagger.&nbsp; Good athlete that can play above the rim!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125671' first='Nojus' last='Venckus'] (Lockport – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nojus is a bucket getter as well for Lockport.&nbsp; Three level scorer that has plus athleticism.&nbsp; Can shoot it from distance, score off the bounce, and moves well without the ball in his hands catching it on the move.&nbsp; Can also post up scoring using positioning in the lane.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
