The explosive All-State sophomore has Woodstock at 5-0. Maurice has averaged 28.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3 steals per game. He has shot 33% from deep, 8-24 from distance. The heat seeking missile's elite skill of drawing fouls has been on display, already 41-53 from the line through his first four games. Maurice is one the best guards in the entire state. His game continues to mature as he grows as a leader and a playmaker who makes everyone around him better. He is a future D-I point.

On the hunt for Most Improved Player, [player_tooltip player_id='3141142' first='Lawson' last='Harris'] has gone from averaging 4.6 points per game as a junior to 27 points, 4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3 steals over his first four games as Landmark Christian sits at 4-2. Harris has buried 7-14 threes after connecting on 11-38 over 22 games a season ago. If Harris is able to keep up his hot start, it will be interesting to see how many wins the War Eagles can rack up and if Lawson is able to play his way onto college radars.

Through his first four games at Mays, Tiago has been a revelation, averaging 26.3 points, 10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. His 51-point outburst against Eagle's Landing will be one of the top performances all season long for any player in the state. The early key to Lee's success has been his consistency behind the arc, 19-47 good for 40%. Mays enters Thanksgiving Break 3-1 with ranked wins over Paideia (74-53) and Douglass (73-70).

Hayes continues to elevate his game. With Rabun County on the hunt for a state title, [player_tooltip player_id='2887558' first='Hayes' last='Free'] has never been better. Through three games he has averaged career-highs of 24.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 2.7 steals and 1.7 blocks. The floor stretching combo-forward scores inside and out. He is able to play above the rim inside and is a switchable defender on defense. D-III schools are getting involved.

The hard-playing highlight maker is the tone setter for the 5-0 Woodland Wolfpack. Thornton has done it all, averaging 21.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 3.3 steals. The swingman is a terrific athlete with a great nose for the ball. He does an exceptional job hunting rebounds and is a dunk waiting to happen in transition. Most impressive thus far has been his consistency from beyond the arc, a small sample size but 4-7 from distance. Thornton's motor and growing offensive game will start to draw college attention. The junior is having a breakout season.
