The area’s top prospect, Maurice is a high scoring, strong, and physical ball handling guard who consistently puts pressure on opposing defenses. Extremely difficult to keep out of the paint, he thrives attacking downhill and finishing through contact while also creating offense for himself off the bounce. Maurice is a capable perimeter shot maker who continues to expand his offensive versatility, and his combination of toughness, strength, and scoring ability makes him one of the more productive backcourt prospects in the state. He is playing this spring with Atlanta Xpress on the UAA circuit.

Maurice was named Region Player of the Year after averaging over 24.4 points per game for Woodstock, showcasing his ability as a high-level offensive producer. He is a strong, attacking guard with solid ball-handling skills who consistently puts pressure on the defense and is very difficult to keep out of the paint. In addition to his ability to get downhill, Maurice is a capable open shot maker, giving him effectiveness as a three-level scoring threat.

Jahmar demonstrated a notable level of maturity on the court. Despite early foul trouble, he remained composed and entered the game late to make critical plays that helped secure the victory. His craftiness in the lane, combined with a shifty handle, allows him to create scoring opportunities for himself and others. As a true point guard, he excels at getting teammates involved and orchestrating the offense with poise and vision.

Went from unranked to the number one ranked point guard in the nation. Continues to grow as a true point guard. Takes over games with his athleticism and savvy. Foul magnet when he attacks the paint. Has polished up his three-point shot, making his outside range a real weapon. Makes others around him better with how much attention he draws and his unselfish play. Mature for his age. Maurice led Woodstock at 20 points per game as a freshman, the Wolverines finishing 14-15. This year Jahmar has dumped in 25.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals while guiding the Wolverines to a school-best 12-0 start and in the process picking up a Morehead State offer. Maurice is a dynamic downhill attacker. While he may not be as tall as some of his peers in the backcourt, his elite ability to get to the rim and draw fouls is what makes him so special. Through 12 games, Jahmar is 86-110 (78%) from the foul line along with 25-80 (31%) from three.  Maurice is finally starting to get the credit as being one of the best 2028 prospects in all of Georgia.

The state’s top scorer is the Woodstock product who is averaging 27.1 points per game. Maurice is a strong, attacking, ball handling guard who is very tough to keep out of the paint. He is an improving shot maker and recently reported his first Division offer from McNeese State.

The explosive All-State sophomore has Woodstock at 5-0. Maurice has averaged 28.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3 steals per game. He has shot 33% from deep, 8-24 from distance. The heat seeking missile’s elite skill of drawing fouls has been on display, already 41-53 from the line through his first four games. Maurice is one the best guards in the entire state. His game continues to mature as he grows as a leader and a playmaker who makes everyone around him better. He is a future D-I point.

Averaged 20 points per game, an electrifying highlight maker who loves to get to the rim. Heat seeking missile draws fouls routinely and lives at the line. Hangs in the air for tough finishes. Has seen his point guard skill set improve greatly, becoming a true distributor who will try to get others involved first before deciding to take over.

Jahmar made his league debut and made it look easy, recording 18 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals and 1 block in a 61-50 win over Arnold Mill. The explosive playmaker looked to set others up before pouring in the points in the second half. His court vision and maturity with the ball in his hands makes him one of Georgia’s elite.

Maurice is an explosive athlete who consistently gets downhill and forces defenses to react. He has a knack for baiting fouls and converting at the free-throw line. His quick first step and acceleration allow him to blow by defenders, and his development as a drive-and-kick playmaker has elevated his overall game. Though undersized, he compensates with elite athleticism and relentless energy on both ends of the floor.
