I won't lie, this is a bit tough to me because since he's been back from his injury and with what we've seen from him at showcases as well as different events in the summer and Fall, he's been one of the top guards that we've seen in the entire state. It was tough not including him in the top 7 players in the conference because he has been that to start the year. Collier is putting up 19.3 points a game and is coming off a monster game against Liberty in a close win where he delivered 29 points, including knocking down 6 3-pointers. He looks like the team's go-to option, he shoots it from deep, and is the team's top shooter, and is on a tear right now. He's been off to a stellar start and is the top X-factor in the conference that can swing a game.

I am excited to get eyes on [player_tooltip player_id='2382300' first='Jordan' last=''] this week as I get out to games, but what we've been seeing on film in the Patriots' two blowout wins has been a ton of [player_tooltip player_id='2382300' first='Jordan' last=''] Dotson doing what he wants. Dotson is a skilled combo guard who is electric with the ball in his hands. He takes care of the ball, makes the right plays, and plays unselfishly, but he's also been attacking and getting to his spots. He's averaging 18.5, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists a game to begin the season, and what's standing out right now is the efficiency. He's not missing. He knocked down 2 3-pointers in their last game; he's reading the court well and getting to his spots while attacking. An aggressive Dotson makes the team dangerous, and he's in a groove right now. He's an X-factor to keep an eye on that I expected to have a big season. Well, he's doing just that.

Jayden is the engine for that South team and has been their most consistent player to start the year, in my opinion. Jayden is a workhorse prospect that cannot be denied. He rebounds out of position, his motor is always moving, and he's shown the ability to score at all three levels. South has not had an ideal start as they have dropped a couple of close ones, but he's been a silver lining in games. He had 17 points in a close loss to the defending champs, Eaglecrest. He got to the FT line, was finishing well around the basket, and is a pest defensively. He's a player who makes his mark in every single game, and that is why South is able to compete. I am eager to see if he can consistently contribute in the ways that he's been able to as South's most important player.

Redwine has his moments, and in those flashes, you can see how high a ceiling he has. He's uber-athletic, he gets out in transition for highlight plays, and he also challenges guys at the rim. But he's also a floor spacer that lets it fly from deep. To begin the year, it's been a mix for him of an inside-out attack as he's shot the 3-ball well and gotten out in transition. Redwine excels in open space. He attacks and gets out on the leak for plays. The game is coming easy to him as a guy who moves without the ball, and he's putting up 13 points and 4 rebounds a game between two contests and is ready to be contested. He's a prospect that allows the Patriots to explore offensively, as he can get himself going or within the flow of the offense.

Williams is Vista's best player, but also the X-factor that allows the team to go. His competitive nature has Vista Peak competing and in games as they feed off his energy. He battles on both ends of the floor. Makes plays happen when he has the ball, and this season, his usage has skyrocketed. We liked what we saw from Julian this summer, and now he must find a way to string together some games. I expect him to have a solid season, and that starts with setting the tone for the team to follow.
