The holiday classic held at St. Andrew's included top tier talent from New England, New York and Canada. Players who are D1-D3 prospects shined and many college coaches were in attendance including Brown, Pace and Keene St. to name a few. The following players I have seen before, continue to be consistent, improved or first time impressions that really impressed me, intriguing to watch them play again! I have two articles from the tournament as well including this and that one. If you want to follow players or teams click this and this as I cover talent in the area of New England and beyond.

An intriguing player after watching him play. He has a bigger frame but his motor/hustling is deceiving. He can handle the rock, and comfortable with the ball. He led some fastbreak offense with a variety of moves. His footwork and decision making set him apart from the defenders. He plays in Canada so it will be difficult for me to see him again but college coaches should consider him. Around here he would be a projected D3/Juco canidate but has another two full high school seasons to progress.

He is a player that continues to grow on me. I have seen Tyson a handful of times now and you can tell he works on his footwork around the rim when he gets the ball. He had a nice baseline rip drive to a reverse mikan layup but he continues to make plays like that on offense. A very steady player with a baseball background. Smart as well when a player was driving he made a boxout screen on his defender clearing the lane for the driver. Very disruptive on the defensive end with his length and bounce, the ability to contest shots on bigger players. He has D1 offers and interests from college coaches. If he continues to grow and be consistent like I have seen from him he deserves a shot at D1. If he chooses the D2 career he would have a great career at that level.

His attributes include communication on defense which is a must for me. He has good length which is helpful to impact passes and shots like he does. At the guard position you have to be able to use the off hand and he is comfortable with the opposite hand. He had a great hangtime on a reverse under the hoop baseline drive layup made field goal. He can knock down shots from behind the arc. His IQ was intriguing as he was able to make a great decision to slow the tempo when action was chaotic on transition offense. The best part of his IQ was that fact in a 1-2-2 press he sat back and allowed a timing play to develop to trap the offense. D1 schools should start looking at him.

First observation on Pat and I liked what I witnessed. He has a lot of talent around him so I would love the opportunity to watch him play again. Meaning there is only one basketball and a lot of mouths to feed on this loaded MacDuffie team but he took over the game at times; was an absolute Alpha in the scoring department. He had some tough contested finishes around the rim. He was dribbling in a phone booth when he had the chance. Defensively he can guard 94 feet, boxes out and tags players when in rotational defense. I would project him as a low level-mid-major D1, with a great D2 career.

At 6'8" he can handle the rock like a point guard. He runs the half court and transition offense at times. He has good vision making accurate passes. He had some nice moves especially a couple low rips. He can score at all three levels. He is for sure a D1 prospect with how comfortable he plays. His stock will continue to rise after more college coaches find out about him. If not a D2 impactful player after my first time watching him.

He plays well on both ends of the floor. He had variety of moves near the paint with some soft touches. He attacks the glass relentlessly. He rips low when needed, plays with balance/strength. Finishes through contact. On the defensive side of the ball he makes shots difficult with his closeouts/length. He can guard 1-5 positions. A D1 prospect if he continues to improve/be consistent but would have a great D2 career.

A true floor general who can score from all three levels. He can slice the defense up off the dribble, with phenomal passing skills. A cerebral player who gets open for his teammates setting up high efficient shots after he makes the 1 more or 2nd pass. A good get for any college. After my first time watching I can see him only getting better because he works hard on both ends. This player is elusive with or without the ball. Plays through contact and is a great second option offensively. Evan has D1 interest from many leagues/teams.
