Expert Analysis
Jason Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
At 6’8″ he can handle the rock like a point guard. He runs the half court and transition offense at times. He has good vision making accurate passes. He had some nice moves especially a couple low rips. He can score at all three levels. He is for sure a D1 prospect with how comfortable he plays. His stock will continue to rise after more college coaches find out about him. If not a D2 impactful player after my first time watching him.

Otto Mae is an incredibly intriguing prospect. Though he didn’t have his best shooting night against CATS, the 6-foot-8 forward brings lots of very interesting skills to the table. He handles it very well for his size, he makes great spray out passes when he touches the paint, and he moves like a guard in virtually all facets of the game. He’s going to have way better days ahead and is probably going to be one of the more impactful players and scorers for Tilton this year if I had to guess. Very bright future ahead for Otto Mae.

Otto Mae, the #145 prospect overall and #28 ranked Power Forward, impacts games with his comination of basketball IQ and skill. He has the ability to make shots from the perimeter, shows good floor vision when initiating offense from the top of the key, and is a quality finisher with his back to the basket. He does a nice job of setting screens and capable of finding open shooters on the perimeter out of double teams. Defensively, he has the versatility needed to guard up and down a position. Put it all together and he’s a prospect that should garner attention from scholarship level programs this winter.

Otto Mae, a skilled big out of the Tilton School in New Hampshire, checks into this rankings update on the Watch List. A big time athlete, he stands out with his ability to finish plays with authority around the rim. He can knock down jumpers from behind the arc, which opens up his ability as both a driver and cutter. When he gets moving towards the basket, he’s a threat to make loud plays at the hoop, using his combination of athleticism and length to his advantage. Defensively, he’s incedibly versatile, showing the ability to guard up and down a lineup, and using his athleticism to make plays in passing lanes that lead to turnovers and to protect the rim.
