Expert Analysis
Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Daniels, a big out of the Tilton School in New Hampshire, is the #3 ranked center and checks in at #15 overall. Daniels is a massive, 6’11” center that burst onto the high school scene last winter in the MIAA. He reclassed at Tilton and has impressed this winter with an expanded offensive skill-set, including the ability to knock down threes in catch and shoot situations. He has a good set of hands, a huge catch radius, and the strength needed to score through contact around the rim. He’ll need to continue to add strength and mobility to reach his ceiling, but is as intriguing of a long-term prospect as their is in this class. Defensively, he protects by altering and blocking shots, rebounds with physicality, and initiates the break with good outlet passes.

Daniels, a big out of the Tilton School in New Hampshire, has some impressive physical tools and long term potential in spades. The 6’11” prospect is a towering presence in the paint that does a nice job of finding different ways to score around the rim. He sets great screens, has a solid set of hands, and already plays with advanced footwork in the post. On top of that, he’s even displayed some signs of the ability to knock down catch and shoot threes. Defensively, he takes up a lot of space, uses his length to protect the rim, and knows how to use his body to clean up on the glass.

Daniels should be among the best 2029 big men in New England this winter in his first year in the NEPSAC. The Tilton School prospect has a massive frame, some touch as a shooter, and isn’t afraid to be vocal on the back line of a defense. He’s got a high ceiling due to his combination of size, skill, and basketball IQ, but continues to show a worker’s mentality and the willingness to get better. He sets great screens, rolls hard to the rim, and has good hands with a large catch radius. He does a nice job of pursuing the ball on the offensive glass and can finish with either hand around the rim. Defensively, he sees the game well, rebounds at a high clip, and can provide some rim protection as an on-ball defender.
