2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765536' first='Cooper' last='Porter'] (Senior) -- 3 points (1-8 FG, 1-7 3P), 6 rebounds, 10 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 0 turnovers [at Hempstead]

Porter obviously didn't have a big scoring night against the Mustangs, but anytime you dish out 10 assists and don't turn the ball over, you deserve to get some praise. A lead guard with a great feel for the game, he loves to get his teammates involved and has great vision, as he displayed in this rivalry win over Hempstead.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765539' first='Max' last='Roach'] (Waukee) -- 12 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3P, 1-2 FT), 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 turnover [vs. Southeast Polk]

Another lead guard who did a great job setting his teammates up last week, Roach posted an 8.0 assist-to-turnover ratio against an improved Rams team, helping lead Waukee to a big win. He's a shifty, talented guard with the speed and ball-handling that puts constant pressure on opposing defenses.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2420009' first='Jonathan' last='Dockery'] (Davenport West) -- 21 points (8-15 FG, 1-2 3P, 4-6 FT), 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, 1 block [vs. Riverdale, IL]

A senior guard who is having a really nice final season for the Falcons, Dockery stuffed the stat sheet against Riverdale in a double-overtime win. A quick 5-9 guard who likes to play downhill and put pressure on his defender with his speed and handles, he led the Falcons in scoring and assists in the win.

2027 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2617548' first='T'Angello' last='Bush'] (Des Moines North) -- 38 points (15-29 FG, 8-17 3P, 0-2 FT), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal [at Mason City]

Bush is one of the most dynamic scorers in the state and is getting a chance to shine as a junior for the Polar Bears. He's a gifted ball-handler and shot creator with good footwork, and he's a creative finisher around the bucket. He's a streaky shooter, but the shot was falling against the Riverhawks, burying eight 3-pointers in the win.

2029 SG Roman Henry (Sioux City West) -- 36 points (10-20 FG, 2-11 3P, 14-15 FT), 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals [at Sioux City East]

Henry, a 6-5 freshman wing, is putting his name in consideration for best 2029 in the state early this season. A freshman dropping 36 points in a game, in particularly at the 4A level, is pretty unheard of, but Henry did just that, and did so against one of the top teams in his area. He's a great athlete who can get to the bucket and free-throw line seemingly whenever he wants to.

2027 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2754678' first='Michael' last='Gordon'] (Bettendorf) -- 34 points (10-18 FG, 6-11 3P, 8-9 FT), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks [vs. Assumption]

Gordon is a "boomerang" transfer, returning to Bettendorf after spending last year at North Scott. A sharpshooting guard with unlimited range, he was fantastic against Assumption last week, dropping 34 points on efficient shooting. He moves really well without the ball in his hands, finding open spaces in the defense to get his shot off and he has a lightning-quick, pure release off the catch. He was really good defensively against the Knights as well, showing the ability to defend multiple positions.

2026 SF [player_tooltip player_id='1978099' first='Colin' last='Rice'] (Waukee Northwest) -- 34 points (14-24 FG, 5-9 3P, 1-3 FT), 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 4 blocks [at Valley]

The top-ranked senior in the state, Rice is going to have plenty of nights like this throughout his senior year. He showed off his ability to stuff the stat sheet on both ends of the floor against Valley, putting up a double-double to go with six stocks.

2028 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2772348' first='Chase' last='Perrin'] (Dallas Center-Grimes) -- 30 points (11-14 FG, 8-10 3P), 1 assist, 4 steals, 2 blocks [at Newton]

Perrin had a record-setting night for the Mustangs against Newton, burying eight 3-pointers in the win. He was great as a role player last season for DCG, coming off the bench to bury shots from deep, and he has stepped into a leading role nicely as a sophomore.
