Preston is going to be one of the biggest players in Nebraska this season, both literally and role-wise. He stands at 6'10 with a wingspan over 7'0. He recently committed to play for D1 Hampton. He is very polished as a post player, where he displays great patience. He can play with his back to the basket, where he has nice footwork and does a good job of finding shooters and cutters when he is double-teamed. He is also a threat in the pick-and-roll. His size and strength also make him a monster on the glass and as a rim protector.

Preston's numbers last season don't jump out at you, but don't let that fool you. He averaged 2.4 ppg and 3.2 rpg. He will be a key piece as Omaha Westside looks to be a state title contender. He is a match-up nightmare for opposing teams to deal with, and should affect the game in so many ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='2453081' first='Goanar' last='Bamach'] is one of the most explosive athletes in the entire state. One thing that you often hear about him is his energy and motor. These things combine for him to be a tenacious defender and rebounder. He excels at blocking shots and attacking the glass. He is also a threat from downtown, where he shot 38% on almost 100 attempts last year. He probably projects more as a wing or a guard at the next level, so it will be interesting to see where his playmaking and ball-handling is at as we get the seasin started. If he can add more on-ball and perimeter skills to his arsenal, then he is a player who could shoot up the rankings.

Bamach averaged 17.1 ppg, 7.6 rpg,1.5 apg, 1.7 spg, and 3.3 bpg. He led Class A in blocks last season. It will be interesting to see how he builds on that for his senior season with high expectations as well as college coaches keeping an eye on him.

Williams is a dynamic guard who is looking to build on a big junior season as well as a big summer season. He is a great athlete, which allows him to get to the rim, where he is smart and crafty. His athleticism also helps him out on the defensive end, where he often turns defense into offense. He is a good enough shooter that teams have to respect it, which allows him to get inside even more. If he can take that next step as a shooter, then the sky is the limit for Williams.

Williams stuffed the stat sheet last winter, as he averaged 18.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 4.1 apg, 2.7 spg, and 1.0 bpg during his junior campaign. There is no reason to expect him to take a step back this season. Omaha North is looking to take that next step in Class A this season, and if they do, it will likely be because of [player_tooltip player_id='2859621' first='Jerrion' last='Williams'].

A recent commitment to Wayne State, Meyers is a player to watch out for in Nebraska this season. He excels at getting to his spot and letting it fly, both off the catch and off the dribble. He is also good at creating space. His size as a bigger guard helps him to get his shot off and see over defenses as a passer. He is also a solid defender, where he again uses his size to be effective.

He averaged 13.6 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 2.0 spg last season as a junior. Millard South is a top ten team in Class A going into the season, and Meyers is a big reason why. If they are going to make a run this year, look for Koby to make some noise.

Gedik is one of the top returning players in the entire state. He is one of the most versatile players that I've seen. He is a force inside with his physicality, rebounding, and finishing ability. He is also effective on the perimeter, as he is very mobile and athletic, which makes him a solid defender. He has also demonstrated the ability to shoot the three, as he was 32% last season. You can definitely tell that his ceiling is high because of his combination of size, skill, and athleticism. How high he gets depends on his ability to develop as a playmaker as well as more consistancy from behyon the arc.

Last season as a junior, Gedik averaged 14.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 1.6 spg. He will be one of the key players on an Omaha Westside team that has high expectations, as many places have them as the number one team in the state going into the year. He will be especially important with the departure of [player_tooltip player_id='2757817' first='Lee' last='Robinson'], who was going to be a key player for them. Gedik is comitted to Augustana.

Yet another player for Omaha Westside, Dada is one of the best players in the entire state, and coaches at the next level are noticing. He has quickly climbed up the ranks as a D1 recruit and picked up an offer from Creighton this past October. He has everything you could ask for in a dynamic wing player with his combination of size, skill, and athleticism. He is a good defender both inside and on the perimeter, where he has the lateral quickness to stay in front of anyone. He is also a dynamic offensive player who can create for himself, shoot it from deep, and finish inside with touch. He shot 42% from three last season on almost 130 attempts, which helps paint the picture of why he is such a sought-after recruit. His ability to shoot opens up other parts of his game and helps his teammates have space.

He averaged 8.2 ppg and 2.0 rpg as a sophomore, and looks to take a huge leap this season. As we have outlined, Omaha Westside is loaded with talent and is the favorite to win Class A this year. They will pose a problem for opponents with all of their talent, size, and athleticism. On a team with all of that talent, Dada could emerge as their best player and has the potential to be one of the best players in the entire state as a junior.
