Nebraska Supreme dominated Kentucky Basketball Club as Dada was showing why he’s regarded as a top prospect on the PRO16 circuit with some monster plays in transition. Dada is an explosive leaper off either foot and had some powerful dunks on the fast break. Dada also has the strength to play through soft contact for and-1 finishes. Starting to turn the corner in terms of his production, Dada seems like he’ll be a core piece for his hometown Creighton program he’s committed to.
Another prospect I’d expect to crack the top 100 in other national rankings lists, Dada recently decided to stay home and commit to in-state powerhouse Creighton. Dada stood out at the Creighton team camp a few days ago and has had a strong spring with Nebraska Supreme
on the Pro 16 circuit. Dada has the frame, perimeter scoring ability and intangibles to succeed for new Creighton Head Coach Alan Huss. Big early win on the recruiting trail to hold off programs like Texas Tech with deep pockets.
Yet another player for Omaha Westside, Dada is one of the best players in the entire state, and coaches at the next level are noticing. He has quickly climbed up the ranks as a D1 recruit and picked up an offer from Creighton this past October. He has everything you could ask for in a dynamic wing player with his combination of size, skill, and athleticism. He is a good defender both inside and on the perimeter, where he has the lateral quickness to stay in front of anyone. He is also a dynamic offensive player who can create for himself, shoot it from deep, and finish inside with touch. He shot 42% from three last season on almost 130 attempts, which helps paint the picture of why he is such a sought-after recruit. His ability to shoot opens up other parts of his game and helps his teammates have space.
He averaged 8.2 ppg and 2.0 rpg as a sophomore, and looks to take a huge leap this season. As we have outlined, Omaha Westside is loaded with talent and is the favorite to win Class A this year. They will pose a problem for opponents with all of their talent, size, and athleticism. On a team with all of that talent, Dada could emerge as their best player and has the potential to be one of the best players in the entire state as a junior.
Dada served as a great compliment to rising sophomore, and standout lead guard Lee’Muhrion Robinson, at the Invitational, with his ability to run the floor in the open court and either roll or pop off the ball-screen in the halfcourt setting. The 6-foot-7 wing/forward is a solid rebounder, uses his wingspan to alter shots at the basket, along with the lateral footspeed to stay in front of perimeter defenders, and has nice touch on shots in the paint. Dada moves fluidly off the ball in the open court, gets to his spots with accuracy on the 3-ball off the catch, has the handle to create off the dribble from the top of the key, and gets to the basket for tough finishes through contact or over length at the rim. Dada can push the ball up the court off the glass, but is at his best when he releases the rebound and uses his long strides and speed to get up the court for easy catches and scoring with lay-ups or dunks in transition.
He came into the weekend as a top 15 scorer on the circuit averaging 18 points per game on 62% shooting and 57% shooting from deep on 28 attempts.
Dada is a knock down shooter, every time he got an open look it felt like it was going in. He is great off the catch in part thanks to his shot prep. Off the dribble he has a pull up and a go to step back that he can shoot over defenders. This was on full display in his five three-point performance against Southern Assault.
While he is a great shooter his low release point can be blocked and bothered by bigger defenders.
He is active on defense using his length to block shots and his IQ to pick off passes in the back of press. London has active hands in general on defense causing deflections often.
He is a solid rebounder for his frame which allowed him to play at center over the weekend.
His best game came against the Arkansas Hawks where he scored 18 points, five rebounds, two assists, one block, two steals and four made threes.
