One of the most consistent big-time scorers in the state, Gedik is a prospect who has a lot of people intrigued.
The Augustana commit is starting off the season averaging 19 points and 6 rebounds. The first thing that I notice with Gedik is his versatility and athleticism. Gedik, at 6’7″, can handle the ball with ease as well as play from the block. He is a freight train with the ball in transition. If he has a lane, be careful because he can throw it down with force. He also stretches the floor very well, with a great three-point shot. He does a great job of playing physical on the defensive end without fouling, and he is an exceptional rebounder. Overall, one of the more complete prospects in this class.

Gedik is one of the top returning players in the entire state. He is one of the most versatile players that I’ve seen. He is a force inside with his physicality, rebounding, and finishing ability. He is also effective on the perimeter, as he is very mobile and athletic, which makes him a solid defender. He has also demonstrated the ability to shoot the three, as he was 32% last season. You can definitely tell that his ceiling is high because of his combination of size, skill, and athleticism. How high he gets depends on his ability to develop as a playmaker as well as more consistancy from behyon the arc.
Last season as a junior, Gedik averaged 14.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 1.6 spg. He will be one of the key players on an Omaha Westside team that has high expectations, as many places have them as the number one team in the state going into the year. He will be especially important with the departure of

A long wing with some bounce, Emre Gedik Emre Gedik 6'7" Omaha Westside | 2026 NE is the exact prototype college programs crave on the perimeter as a defender, shooter and as a threat to score in transition. With his leaping ability and length, Gedik can get up and throw down dunks in transition and hit open shots from the perimeter, but also poke away passes and swat shots.
I’d like his first step to be quicker and to become more consistent of a threat as a shooter, but the tools are there to work with.
Similarly to Bamach, Gedik hasn’t posted any offers at this point in time. Gedik belongs on a Division I roster somewhere. Whether it’s low or mid-major, he would have the chance to develop and become a rotational piece at the D1 level, at the very least.

Emre Gedik Emre Gedik 6'7" Omaha Westside | 2026 NE is a versatile forward who can do a little bit of everything.
Gedik is a force on the glass when he puts his mind to it and a good finisher around the rim.
He can also create his own shot with a sneaky handle and a physical driving style he gets to the rim and the free throw line consistently.
Emre is also a more than capable shooter who makes defenses respect his range.
His best performance was a 11-point seven rebound performance against Power 5.
