Holland found a way to contribute to a stacked state championship roster as a freshman last year playing mostly spot minutes but being more than capable for the challenge with his responsibilities growing as the year went along. This season he's been an unbelievable compliment next to the D1 upperclassmen backcourt of [player_tooltip player_id='1454560' first='Ayden' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1571119' first='King' last='Kendrick']. Holland is a confident outside shooter with the athleticism to attack closeouts and make plays at the rim. Holland plays with a great combination of confidence and fearlessness that you love to see from a Sophomore. He'll continue to progress throughout the course of the season and beyond with Caldwell hoping to defend that NCISAA 2A title.

Morris will definitely find himself amongst the ranked members of this class once updated next year due to the fact that he is a proven producer over his first year and change on the varsity team at Grace Christian. Morris is a strong 6'2" PG that can make outside shots, exploit less athletic defenders when attacking, and do more than just hold his own defensively. Morris is a really tough kid that is willing to compete in the physical aspects of the game. He's more in control than he was as a freshman when running the offense, showing tremendous improvement as a true PG. Morris should continue to make real strides in his overall game and is a guy worth tracking over the next few years.

We couldn't do this list without touching on what [player_tooltip player_id='2623267' first='AJ' last='Morman'] has been doing for Southern Durham this season. Not sure if there is a kid in NC with a better feel with the ball in his hands, special timing as a passer, and continuing to rapidly develop as an athlete in the open floor. Morman has always had elite end to end speed, he is now floating above the rim with consistency making him that much more dangerous in transition. Morman has shown the ability to make shots from the outside with consistency as well. His performance last week vs Greenfield was simply magnificent. In an OT win vs the NCISAA 2A contenders, Morman finished with 18 Points, 8 Assists, and 7 Rebounds. A signature performance for one of The HoopState's signature players.

Grear will find himself ranked when they're updated and for good reason as he's got some of the best feel and skill level of any 2028 guard in North Carolina. At 6'3" Grear can make shots from the outside, run your team in multiple spots on the floor, and does it all in a low maintenance and straight to the point fashion. Grear carried a ton of success from the travel ball circuit this summer into Pine Lake Prep where he's looking to get them into the playoffs for a deep run this season. Recently in a win vs Christ the King, Grear finished with 31 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 4 Assists. Grear possesses a ton of translatable skills and has "gem" written all over him early.

McCormick continues to run the show at Davidson Day balancing his own scoring while making sure the love gets spread around. Sharing a backcourt with veteran [player_tooltip player_id='1907231' first='Nick' last='Arnold'] has been great for McCormick, allowing him to play next to another creator, giving his catch and shoot game room to shine along with his play making. McCormick will end up being about as battle tested as you can ask by the end of his career with his experience between travel and high school ball. He's got great touch from distance, an understanding of how to manage a game, and the competitive fire to make big plays when your team needs them most.
