We are near the halfway point of the season as most teams have played 10+ games by now and we're less than 2 months from district tournaments and the march towards Rupp Arena. Our rankings are being updated once again and next up is the Junior class. Here's a look at the numbers six through ten in the latest edition of 2027 class rankings.

Coffman is one of the better two way players in the second region and plays with a relentless motor. His college stock has taken a big boost in the last year or so and I've had a couple of colleges tell me that they think he can end up at the mid major or higher level thanks to his versatility on both ends. Nolan is one of the best players in the state that most people have never heard of. Look for that to change in the next calendar year.

Tyce is one of the most explosive athletes in the state, regardless of class. He also has the potential and the physical traits of being a lockdown defender. Long term, Jarvis needs to improve his long range shooting. He's only knocking down 25% of his threes so far this season. In the short term, Tyce has a quick first step and is an explosive leaper who can get to the rim and finish, even through contact. There's a reason he holds several D1 offers already.

Omari moves back up a couple of spots now that he's healthy and on the court again. Jointer is leading Woodford in nearly every statistical category this season and is showing he's one of the best slashing guards in the class. In order to reach his ceiling, Omari has to shoot the three ball better as he's only attempting about one three per game. Eventually, teams will lay back and take their chances with him shooting the three. I still think Jointer's long term potential is amongst the top in the class.

Rickard doesn't get much notoriety because he's in far west Kentucky but Wyatt is a highly skilled big man who is comfortable stepping out and shooting from range, too. Averaging 21 points and 10 rebounds so far this season, Rickard is shooting 53/33/76 and has the potential to be a stretch 4 or a face up 5 in college. UT Martin offered early and I expect more schools to come his way this summer.

Roberts has one of the biggest scoring games this season after he had a 39 point outburst at the King of the Bluegrass last week. Kamari has a quick first step and is a willing passer when he gets into the paint. If he can start to shoot the three ball with more consistency, Kamari will be one of the toughest guards to defend in all of Louisville, if not the whole state.
